www.a-i.com was one website that I found through searching for "new artificial intelligence applications. I suggest looking around on the site if you are interested. Here is some of what I wrote  down in response to my search:

www.a-i.com "Ai has developed a research program aimed at true artificial intelligence - allowing people to converse with their computers in everyday language."

The website offers these tabs: Background, Theory, Virtual Personalities, Forums, Library and About Ai. The quote above is from the Home>Theory>Research Plan string. Here is a quote from the "Background" tab: "The concept of the "thinking machine" appears throught-out history, from Pygmalion, to HAL9000, to Stephen Spielberg's film, "A.I."

The desire to breath life into sculpted clay - or today, into silicon- has been with us for thousands of years."

I interacted with the chatterbot for a short while and was entertained. The chatterbot shared with me some information about it's "brain" and it's master (real name forgotten), Yaki. The chatterbot also confirmed with me that some of the things that it learned were true, topics ranging from the sun to babies. I believe that it learned it's information from other users of the chatterbot. The chatterbot gave me the option to correct it's knowledge, once telling me that it hoped that I wasn't fooling it ( I entered the url for the Dictionary.com's definition of babies as my definition of babies, correcting it as it's definition misspelled the word 'species').

There is a lot to read on the website (www.a-i.com), and the material is pretty interesting.  Interacting with the chatterbot was fun and entertaining, and I even learned about space. The chatterbot will repeat it self if you aren't registered, but registering is simple, you just give your email address, and a passoword, and it will remember you. The chatterbot is young, and plans and growing.

The other link that I found was http://seniorjournal.com, although I found several links, having searched for "new artificial intelligence applications". At the ROCOR Church, the preist had a comment on artificial intelligence, but I don't remember it well enough to repeat it. It was kind of a joke.

I recently bought the Winter 2010-2011 edition of 2600: The Hacker Quarterly and haven't finished reading it. I also bought some groceries from Piggly Wiggly. I am on my way out of here soon. The webite for 2600 magazine is www.2600.com

Tomorrow I have an appointment to see Dr. McTigh, and I have court on the 18, at 8:30 in the morning. Trespassing after notice at the Apple Store Downtown. Someone that worked for Apple that I talked to on the phone said that I needed a police officer's permission in order to purchase a computer. So I got a police officer and gave him my check for a computer and explained to him what I was told. More police showed up and I was told that the Apple Store had called the police. The police offer said that they were going to ask the Apple Store what they wanted them to do, and the Apple people told the police to arrest me. Darn. I was able to bail myself out with the help of my friend Sam. On Sunday I went to the R.O.C.O.R. church with Sam and Libby, and I rode back with Glen and Tiffany. Peace.
