NOTE: I started this as a discussion but a few asshats just wouldn't stop being asshats. Please be aware if you post useless stupid and pointless shit like "STFU" or "FTW" or "u phails" or other stupid ass non normal language (and please also keep replies in ENGLISH please!!) I have set up that I must APPROVE comments and replies before letting them post so be aware that I WON'T APPROVE THOSE TYPES OF COMMENTS/REPLIES!

First off if you are an Atheist, I respect you for that but please DO NOT POST here if you will bring nothing relevant to this discussion. None of that "God don't exist why even talk about him" crap or whatever. Fine if you don't believe in his existence (or even Satan's), but I intended this topic to bring forth folks personal thoughts on the subject and not any insults (though some of what I say may possibly be an insult to christians, forgive me if that happens as I didn't intend that).

My thoughts on christianity...

Christianity- It's fine, really if it makes some one happy why should I discourage it? Just because I personally don't like alot of what it represents (there are good things it represents, but most are clouded in hypocrisy), doesn't make me the one to tell you not to be a christian (but really don't be it will ruin your life, ha, kidding that was a joke). The thing I don't understand about christians is that they take their god or christ or whatever to personally. Nothing wrong in believing in them and worshiping them as your savior or whatever, but come on, realize not all folks are christian nor want to be. Why get "hurt" over someone bad mouthing god or christ? You love them, you worship them, why should it matter what others think? Isn't what you think more important?

I am a Satanist and could care less what others think of Satan. Call him a punk, fag, douche, cunt whatever. It CAN'T hurt me because I don't believe he his those things. If you get hurt over those insults, maybe you need to check you christianometer (I made up that word, hehe) it may be far below the point of what a christian should be. Sure the bible basically says to shove that shit down others throats that are not christians, but in this day and age (of freedom of choice, speech and religion) it is really not that relevant anymore. Be a christian all you want, but realize not every one likes these deities you put so much stock in.

All these anti christ songs are good to me, but you know what I also like some christian music too. Bloodgood a christian metal or hard rock band from the 80's had good vocals (not gay like Stryper's vocals) and great music. Moritification is a death metal type christian band with growling type vocals (only heard like one or two of their songs so I can't really say much more than that). I like alot of christian bands and their music, the lyrics I can do with out, but to me if the vocals and music is good I'm sold.

Am I being to bland here? Do I need to post more on the subject? Or does everyone get what I am trying to say here? Let me know your thoughts are on this. I'd rant some more but I have to leave now, will be back in an hour or so.

I am an agnostic. I believe that it is not possible to know. I respect other faiths, philosophy, and spirituality. I do not like organized religion. Christianity to me is a man-made religion that many of its followers have made go against Jesus's true beliefs. I don't mind people believing or following the Bible, but there is not way I could accept something people wrote 30 years after the death of Jesus. Basically, the fundamentals of the religion are reasonable but some of the followers are hypocrites and do not respect others beliefs, they think they are the only ones that are right and that's not cool.

The thing that made more sense about the polytheistic pagan religions is that they had gods representing both good things and bad things. The main purpose being to just explain events in Nature (albeit wrong explanations), rather than to institutionalize ethics and murder all the heathens.

It's weird on a basic level to think that there could be an omnipotent monotheistic god who is all good. Everyone always says, "Well the reason evil exists is because God gave us free will and some of us chose evil." Then God is not really omnipotent, because he is powerless over our free will (e.g. Satan's rebellion).

I guess another way of saying it would be that free will contradicts the Christian God's omniscience. He has no way of knowing what I am going to do next, because if he did, then my future decisions would have already been pre-determined, which violates the concept of free will. You either have free will, or God is omniscient, but not both.

I guess I am just saying that Christian theology cannot explain even the mere possibility of Satan and yet Satan is in the scripture and plays an indespensible role in the fall of man. Skeleton in the closet I guess.

C.S. Lewis? Isn't he the one that wrote the Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe? Aslan the lion is supposed to represent god in the books. It's kinda christiany but cool cause he doesn't get his panties in a wad over magic and witches (which he has in the story) like alot of christian folks did with the Harry Potter books.

A good book to read is Screwtape Letters, it is basically a glimpse into the side of Christianity that is never talked about in the bible - it is written from the perspective of one of the devil's tempters. I know it sounds like something that would be written by a 7th grader but it was written by a Cambridge professor C.S. Lewis who hung out with J.R.R. Tolkein and it is very rich in philosophical content.

It depends on who you ask as far as "Satanist" being a vague term. Depending on who you ask Satanist is straight forward and needs no explanation. However, there are several different types of Satanist which I tend to be alot of different types. There are they Levayans (which I only follow a very few "rules" of Levayan Satanism) who are atheists and don't believe in a being Satan or Lucifer or even god. Though they do have lots of good "rules" like if someone fucks with you don't turn the other cheek, bash his head in. I live by that.

Then there are other Satanists out there that Levayans refuse to acknowledge as Satanists (they are like certain christians in that aspect meaning if you are not of that faith you are not a christian, if you are not a Levayan you are not a Satanist, which is bullshit but that's the way they are). Luciferians, Devil Worshipers, and lots of others that are ALL part of Satanism just most are individuals and don't take from other forms of Satanism to be a Satanist. They just choose one and stick with it. Me I choose (which may be wrong in a lot of folks eyes) what I like from each of the different Satanic religions/philosophies (some Satanists don't want their Satanism associated with religion, so they are philosophies) and go by that. I believe in the literal being of Satan/Lucifer, the biblical being of them.

But what really pisses me off is the ignorant argument that because I believe in him, I am a reverse christian not a Satanist. How pathetic is that. Reverse christian is the stupidest term ever. Reverse christian implies you are only doing things to spite or to piss off christians. I am not, I am a Satanist cause that is my life, that is what makes me happy. If folks get pissed that's just a happy coincidence.

So to make a short story long, I am a Satanist that takes from virtually every form of Satanism out there and even some christian myths or whatever thrown in. In other words *insert Michael Jackson voice* I'm not like other Satanists.
