This blog is going to be Cradle Of Filth blasphemy!
Why? Well because it's about the movie Cradle Of Fear, and it's not a positive blog. I know almost every COF fan I have spoken too in real life and most on the net via a forum or chat or whatever, seem to love the movie. Me, I think it was boring. The first story although pretty cool was boring to me, and thus made the whole movie boring. I admit it was a cool and gory movie but it bored me. Plus I can't stand British accents, love the folks after all the Brits have the BEST music in the world from The Beatles, to Black Sabbath, to the Rolling Stones to of course Cradle Of Filth (yeah different music totally, but I am old and love me some classics) but just hate the accents, no offense to any Brits here especially to COF, who I have met and talked too on three separate occasions (not counting the web chats and forum chat/replies and such) in person.
Anyway, if I ever get around the being bored at the movie I may watch the whole thing again and maybe enjoy it better (I tried watching it several times again but never got through the whole thing except that first viewing). I need to be motivated to watch it I guess. Oh well.

Dani was excellent as the killer, altho I do say the copper was a bit of a pratt (so they got that bit spot on maybe?) but it was a good earthy movie.
I dont think Dani or any of the guys would want to be assciated with the sugar-coated Disneyesque crap that flows far too fluidly from Hollywood for my liking. It was low budget, gutteral and surprisingly real. I enjoy it each time I watch it, it makes a change from the "down to the final second bombs" and Mr immortal Hero images we are usually fed

I bought the movie, really just to say I have it. I have never been a huge fan of British horror, to say the least.

You know, I enjoyed it just for the quirky camera angles, the copius amounts of blood and guts, oh and the fact that Dani was a super killer.
Other than that it really had nothing to it. So I agree with you mostly. :)

I know it was low budget, I like several low budget flicks that most folks hate like for example the original Silent Night Deadly Night. So it was not the budget, not even really the script, just it kinda bored me. This kind of movies of course are not meant to be good, but than I don't think they are meant to be boring either. But that's just my opinion.
