If you look at youtube, a few "Fear Of The Dark" videos have been posted recently (in addition to the ones that have already been up) saying they are Cradle Of Filth doing the song. Of course WE all know it's Graveworm and NOT COF! The problem is after "correcting" one video by posting that it was Graveworm, I got a reply that said something to the effect of "No it IS COF. I seen them play it live in concert". First of all that is not proof that the studio track on that video is COF (and it is in fact the studio version from Graveworm anyway as is all the others), and second I am pretty sure they have never played that song live much less made a recording of it. I know Graveworm must have mixed feelings on this. If they are fans of COF than I guess they should be flattered that they are thought to BE COF in that song. On the other hand it takes away from them in that folks thinking it's COF would never know it's by Graveworm less the many replies I and others have stating it is Graveworm. If they believe it that is, folks still say it's COF. Of course that is not the only song mistaken as being by COF. There is a horrible rendition of Sweet Dreams that folks claim it to be by COF and HIM. Of course it aint neither (at least Sarah and Martin (former member of COF not current Martin) has confirmed this, can't say what HIM think of it). But oh well. Maybe these mistakes in identity gets COF more fans.
