I have to say I was quite surprised when I started listening to the Ramones and I not only knew each of the songs, but most of the lyrics. Considering that I never knowingly heard the Ramones, yes quite a surprise. But then that is really one of their greatest virtues; their "catchy" riffs and anthemitic lyrics. Truthfully, I can see why they are one the best known punk bands around.

First of all, I am and always have been a metalhead more than anything else. And yet (I know how it sounds) I had never listened much to Iron Maiden or Pantera, not recently anyway. And one day definitely isn't enough for either band. I loved both bands; excellent guitars, I loved Maiden's drummer, but I didn't think much of Pantera's bassist. There's not really anything more to say then, awesome bands. I will be listening to both of them alot more often.
