Who would like a direct sequel to Midnight in the Labyrinth? Midnight in the Catacombs?lol
It could be a combination of:
From The Cradle To Enslave E.P.
Midian
Bitter Suites To Succubi
Damnation & A Day
Nymphetamine
I would buy it. I thought Midnight in the Labyrinth was good, but it needed a more involved choir. And it was missing some epic tracks like Queen of Winter, Throned.

Permalink Reply by Managorth Anora on June 11, 2012 at 21:15 I can't imagine an orchestral version of Filthy Little Secret.
Permalink Reply by SirBaneDefiance on June 11, 2012 at 21:23 I wouldn't expect it to make the cut. If it's anything like MITL, there would just be about 3-ish tracks that showcases each album's highlights. I know you couldn't get that many from The Cradle To Enslave E.P. tho (There is only 2 original tracks).

An orchestra album should only happen once during a band's lifetime. A second orchestral album is just overkill. It gets boring after a while.
Permalink Reply by Lorne on June 11, 2012 at 22:55 Iv'e not heard MITL yet. But if it all sounds like A Gothic Romance.. Then i suggest not even thinking about it. Cradle are straying to far a path, not hating on the creativity, it's just i reckon they need to just take a long break. I just feel that there clutching onto straws now.Quit now, come back later.

I don’t want a second orchestral album, I want the first one to be done right!

MITL left out some really good tracks in their library: Queen of Winter..., The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, The Black Goddess...etc. etc. But I would love a second part in my collection. I don't care if it's overkill or whatever. Midian orchestrated I think would be kickass.

Permalink Reply by Final on June 12, 2012 at 2:19 I was referring to the opinionated fact that, in my, said opinion, they started “clutching onto straws” very soon after Nymphetamine. Which is also when I now wish they’d ended it. Once you are a hero, off yourself, for you’re likely to die much lower thought of if you continue living.
Emperor disbanded after their fourth album, and while ending it after “Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk” would have sufficed, they left behind a most marvelous black metal legacy instead of going on and deteriorating significantly.
