Dear members, I just wanted to ask you the following thing:

There are many patriots on this site, I believe, and many of you care for your own nation. I see here in Russia that there's not so many people remembering their own Dear Gods and their own Faith (I do not use the word "religion" in order not to offend the true believers). But there are some, and I am proud to know this (there are some guys not registered on this forum). Is there anybody who remembers his Dear Gods? Any Pagans here?

I hate the religion, but is my opinion!
So that's a "atheist"
I don't really have time for religion these days. It is fascinating, but I don't feel the need to follow one, and at many times religion has been the cause of violent conflict. I don't necessarily believe in any God(s), but I don't completely rule out the existence of some higher being - it's hard to be sure about the nature of the universe when we have no proof of either. But then at times I'd just rather get on with my life than dwell on something that may or may not exist, not least dedicate myself to a religion.
I've read about religions and haven't found any that would feel something I could believe in. I don't pretty much even think about if there's a higher force or not. If there is one I might know at some point then.
I love being a Pagan-Once your mind is free you learn all about yourself, and the rest falls into place.
I'm actually pretty confused on the whole religion factor. My family has tried to put Christianity on me, however, I didn't quite accept it. I found it hard to believe in when the bible (In my opinion, please don't let this offend you) seems so judgemental and not accepting like it's supposed to be. Why does the bible have the right to say anything about right and wrong? But once again, this is MY opinion, so I respect others' opinions as well. The 'religion' that has caught my eye the most has been paganism. I actually understand Phalanx Titan's point of view perfectly, because that is the only factor conflicting with me getting more involved with paganism. Time. For a religion, I feel that you must devote some time to that religion, and there already isn't enough time. I do believe that there is a 'higher power,' but not necessarily a god that can tell you what's wrong and right. I hope that makes sense.
I actually have a small shrine in my home and i burn incense and candles on it.I have read many books about different religions mostly right hand path but resently i have set my focus on the left hand path.
I am a Hindu. Hinduism is not a really a Pagan religion but its far better according to me. Its a civilisation in itself.
I am a catholic, and I do believe in God, I even go to church once in a while. Yet I am still facinated by every religion I have ever heard of. And what interests me atmost, is what they have in commom. I am currently reading the bible though, just to get to learn about my own religion. To many christians, in my opinion, do not know enough about what they worship, and that create alot of problem. Here at my dear Denmark, where I live and have been raised, are there many issues about islam. But how can a christian be rightous in hating another being, because of them not sharing the same believes, when there is written in the bible, that you cannot say you love your God, when you hate your brother (another person would possebly be more current)? Sometimes when I hear about such diffeculities, I would believe, that the world would be a better place without any religions at all. People see what they want to see rather then what is commonly known. But I love my God, and I understand why others would love their God(s) aswell. Just to end my little speech, I got a second opinion to share: why can´t we all just be friends and live peacefully together, said straight from my childish heart?

Peace and love forever
We all want to live in peace, trust me, no one likes hatred or suffering. But we also want to keep God out of the equation simply because we know that the world can never be at peace. That is the sad truth we must accept. The concepts of Heaven,Hell,God,Angel,Devil is all bull****.

The only way we can ever get peace is by accepting that Earth is a place that was meant to contain both love and hate. Love is for God. Hate is for the Devil. And love and hate in equal proportions is for Humans.

Hello again guys, I am really sorry for not commenting on all the ideas you shared on this topic: unfortunately my new job prevented me from doing this timely. I bring my apologies again.
Speaking about paganism, first of all I meant not the RELIGION but a state of mind ("I do not use the word "religion""...) because somehow the word itself can offend somebody...
When I look at the contemporary Russian society I see many "addicts" of the Russian Orthodox Church. Many of them can also be called "followers" because they are not so addicted and because they sincerely believe. Many can be called "profanes" because they do not believe in anything but money but they pretend to be Christians.
In this single comment I'll try to explain my Idea. All Russian Orthodox guys say that they are slaves of God. But our Dear Gods say that we are not their slaves but their children. This idea is the one I sincerely accept, because
1) I think that without gods there can be no life (I believe in the existence of a soul in any living being which is impossible without the presence of some higher creating spiritual creatures); and
2) if there is a God he does not need any slaves.
We are the children of our Dear Gods, and we cannot live without them as well as they cannot live without us. In Russian Orthodox religion there are many elements of paganism remaining from the time of baptizing the Kiyvian Rus. The Orthodox guys consider these elements as belonging to their religion, which is stupid from the point of view of history and ideology.
There are many people in Russia who accept the Dear Gods, there are many societies and clubs supporting this, but unfortunately the Orthodox religion is stronger due to the conformism of the Russian people and the idleness of the mind...
What I wanted o know is whether there is anybody supporting the Dear Faith (NOT RELIGION) of his/her own nation in Europe or anywhere else. Are you ready to fight against Christianity in the forms of a world-wide religion pressing the Dear Faith and national values and customs? What do you think? (I do not even mention the Zoroastrians from Iran and other Eastern countries, whose opinion I want to know very much).
I saw a comment from an Indian guy (Arte) from Kolkata, and I should say that historically (as some scientists in Russia say) in many aspects our Dear Faith has its roots in India. I say "Thank you" to him. Guys from such countries as India easily understand the idea I am talking about.
P.S. Is there anybody from Scandinavian region? I know that the Christian religion had been brought there by the sword. What do you think of the problem I brought up?
P.P.S. Sorry for my broken English.
Best regards,
Art
