'A video of him answering the first batch is now on Peaceville.com/cradleoffilth the album’s mini-site and a second video will be added next week.'

There will be more, don't worry.

Dani answers some of your questions.. It's on the DDVA official website,
kind of dissapointed, he didn't answer many questions, it was only 3 minutes.
Was kind of funny at some parts though,
but still dissapointed. We waited for that long, and he only answers 5 questions, 2 of them not even dealing with Cradle =/

yea..not being funny...but if i was in his position..i would have talked for atleast 30mins to a hour.....whats an hour of your life answering questions to fans, plus its something i would enjoy personally........although i very much liked the doctor who response..great humour sense!
He better answer mine. Or anyone else's concerning Goetia. If he can mention the Hollowed Be Thy Name cover, then he can at least tell us about Goetia.

I think he meant that if Dani had the time to mention something supposedly as irrelevant as the Iron Maiden cover, he should also be able to answer questions about the infinitely more important Goetia (exaggerated roles, of course).

How has their cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name got anything to do with Goetia?
It doesn't, I'm just saying it's become kind of an obscure cradle song as I've never heard it mentioned much or played live by them at all. But of course Goetia is a long stretch from Hallowed be Thy Name, I was just comparing them.

He only mentioned it as a favourite live song since that was the question (even though they don't seem to have played it very often).
Yeah I guess. I can't imagine why he's so secretive about it though.

If Dani was going to talk about Goetia, I'm sure he would have done so at some point over the past 20 years.

What year it was released, what was the band line up, what songs were on it.. why did you wipe it, what do the songs sound like? are you ever going to release some of the songs?

Noodlemantra said:
I don't think being secretive has anything to do with it, it's just not that important. It has nothing to do with the band as they are now and to be honest, what more could he say about it?

"We recorded an album called Goetia, but due to financial reasons, the tapes got wiped and it was abandoned, which was probably for the best".

What more do you need to know?
The track list at least.

But I get what you're saying.

No need to use capitals, and what was the PLANNED release date, what was the line up GOING TO BE for the album.. there obviously WAS a line up if the album was recorded, i mean.. we have spattered in faeces. So the line up IS relevant, i would still want to know what songs made it to the album, and if there are any new songs that we dont know about, that would be interesting. how would you know that it sounds like total fucking darkness? and you never know, dani might have a copy..

Let's try to keep calm now.

Noodlemantra said:
IT WASN'T RELEASED. THE LINE-UP IS THEREFORE IRRELEVANT. SAYING WHAT SONGS WERE ON IT WOULD BE POINTLESS BECAUSE WE CAN'T HEAR THEM ANYWAY. IT WAS WIPED BECAUSE THE LABEL OR STUDIO WENT BUST. THE SONGS WOULD HAVE SOUNDED LIKE TOTAL FUCKING DARKNESS. NO THEY AREN'T GOING TO RELEASE ANY OF THE SONGS BECAUSE THEY WERE WIPED!
I'm just curious. If TFD was really on there, then at least I would get some closure on what the album sounded like. I'm not trying to be desperate, but I just want to know.

Noodlemantra said:
What would be the point, though? A bunch of song titles, that's it.

But TPoEMF was a real step from TFD. It was a lot faster and with more gothic influences. I would wonder if Goetia is on the more heavy, slower TFD side, or the faster, gothic TPoEMF. But I'm sure it does sound like either one or a mix.

Noodlemantra said:
I find it tricky to believe that in between Total Fucking Darkness and TPOEMF, they made an album which sounded nothing like either.
Yeah, that sounds about right.

Noodlemantra said:
So Goetia would have sounded like an embryonic version of TPOEMF, possibly with less Scando-black metal influence. We've heard Spattered In Faeces, and that's most likely what the rest of the album would have sounded like. TPOEMF was most likely an updated version of it (notice the Dream Of Wolves In The Snow nods in Spattered).

I don't know, I just fail to see why it's important. As does Dani, it seems.
I'm going really crazy about it, cause I love the song and would love to hear it live, but it seems like they never played it! I never found any videos or any bootlegs with it. Now I know they played it and I'm sure I'll never be able to hear it. I wonder how it sounds... I love 'Sodomy and Lust', 'Black Metal' and 'Hell Awaits' live!

He only mentioned it as a favourite live song since that was the question (even though they don't seem to have played it very often).
