I've never been able to listen to the whole album. Something bothers me.
Permalink Reply by Lanval on November 13, 2011 at 18:24 I felt the same way about the first album and only really liked Aristocratic Sex Magick as well, but this means you'll enjoy Black Heart of Empire for the same reason that I do because every song sounds like that. There are “certain places” you could go to listen and give it a chance – my favourites at the moment are Veiled Threats Over Cocktails and Of Insect and Allegory. =)

Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on April 6, 2012 at 22:32 So, I just received my "In The Nightside Eclipse" CD today. Much to my regret, I found out that it was the Argentina version, on some label called Icarus music. Is there a chance this CD could be bootlegged? The CD cover art is different than the regular Candlelight records CD cover art. I don't know. This is my THIRD time buying this CD, and I'm just sick of continuously trying to find the one version I want. So, I'm just going to stick with this one I guess. It has the two bonus tracks and the live enhanced material. I just hope the audio quality is as good as all the other re-mastered versions that are out there.

Thats sounds like a fake, there was only one album cover.

Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on April 6, 2012 at 23:20 No, not the album cover art. I'm talking about the art on the ACTUAL CD. From what I remember, this Argentina version is different than the regular Candlelight records version! Anyone have a Candlelight records version, so I can compare?

Permalink Reply by The Smell Of Rain on April 7, 2012 at 11:07 I've spent waaaay too much money on vinyl this past month and even the start of this one...
I pre-ordered the new Anathema, Paradise Lost, Ladyhawke, Comus and Storm Corrosion LPs which was a small fortune in itself, since most of them come with extras (Tragic Idol includes a frickin PL baseball cap?!) Other than that I've just been adding stuff to my collection (some Daisy Chainsaw and The Cure singles and some other albums I already own on CD.)
P.S. I loved "Black Heart Of Empire", the whole "Penny Dreadful" packaging really shows how much effort they are putting into making the band an entertaining experience!!
