I dare anyone to say they can't imagine this song's beat being a Cradle beat, with Dani screeching and holding out out the words "Crashing" and "Cry" in the chorus. I could imagine a Bitter Suites sounding version, at least.

Coincidently, Jade Valerie, as a pop artist, surprisingly does a lot of what Cradle do. She samples well-known classical pieces (well, Cradle write their own, but most of the time sample one of their hired composer's pieces), has dabbed in horror-pop (with her Sweetbox project album 'Adagio'), she covered 'Stay', and she does classical versions of her own songs at times. Very talented singer, for anyone who enjoys classical music.

If they perform this live, the stage needs to be set up as a living room. The band needs to wear flannel and jeans, singing into empty beer bottles and doing a creepy dance in front of a TV.

I think the 60's Tommy James & The Shondells version actually has a bit of a creepy vibe that would translate rather well for Cradle, lol! Or the creepy organ and keys of the Lene Lovich version... not as silly of a suggestion as you'd initially think! :P

Actually, I remember reading an interview that Dani considered "Thriller" at one point, but thought the lyrics would be too silly.
