the death of love is one of my fav cradle songs and i seen the video for it right after it was posted and i have mixed feelings about it. i feel that the band and mostly dani could of moved around alot more kind of like in nymphetamine. and all so me and my fiance think dani looks better with long hair. all in all i feel it was a good video but it could of been better. but that is just my opinion.

it's not that bad but what's the name of the female vocal in the death of love plzzz guyz i wanna know wt'z her name =D
Wow. Well. When I heard that they were making a video on the song "Death of Love," I was quite excited. That song is filled with such passion about Joan of Arc and Gilles, and the events, her being burned at the stake unjustly, the anger Gilles had, and much more. The emotion and passion in that song is awesome. I was looking forward to an amazing video.

I saw on myspace a bulletin CoF had posted telling everyone to check out the video. I was extremely happy. I watched it...and I saw the beginning...her lip synching... thinking it would get more action-filled. Her just standing there, singing, expressionless, passionless, emotionless, was so disappointing. There was no action at all, not showing any other character BUT Gilles and Joan. It wouldn't bother me so much if there was a bit more action other than Gilles eating and Joan standing there singing, but there was no action. It seemed so badly put together. I was so bummed.

I was looking forward to this video, but I guess my own interpretation of the video greatly exceeds the video itself. Also, if the female in the video really was the female vocalist (I'm actually quite shocked that I'm not certain), then she did a really sad job of showing emotion/passion/etc.
mmm nothing very special, just anothing video for me, great song but the video itsn't that great..
Agree completely with this. I can't believe they didn't show the burning of Joan..or Gilles do anything else but eat

I thought the actress (or was she the actual vocalist for the song?) ,who played Joan, seemed rather bored in her performance. So that was kind of disappointing. She should have been singing passionately into the heavens or something. As wind blew her hair back and flames around her body signifying the burning stake...lol
I didn't care much for this music video to be honest.
Watched the video again, and my feelings have not changed. It is still a letdown.
I agree with Adam Hossman's post and this one. :| I was bummed, too.

I agree, the corpse paint back in the day was awesome. Dani painting ridges on his head makes him look like a Romulan from star trek.

They seem to have gone from Gothic, to Medieval looking.. I'm hoping that's just because of the theme of Gilles de Rais.

I was very dissapointed by the video, I was so pumped.

this proves we won't have anymore good old golden cradle style on videos and music, even their corpse paint is not the same now, i remember when they used a great one years ago. scuba diving
