I like reading so therefore thought of starting a topic of what are you reading atm. I know there's favourite book -topic but would like to know what other books people read too. Have seen this thread on most forums I browse and found a lot of books from those which I've never heard of and would like to read.

I start then:

I'm reading The Undercover Economist by Tim Harford.
Nice point of views for example of globalisation and supermarket prices.

At the end of the page you can see some books in English. Oscar Welden's is only in Hungarian...how strange..

Do you know if this book available in English language editions, or is it just published in Hungarian?
It would be interesting to read a non-fiction book on Elizabeth Bathory from a Hungarian's perspective. Freya said:
The private life of Báthory Erzsébet by Oscar Welden.
haha Good luck!;) Some people say it's one of the most difficult languages. I don't know.

I did a quick search too when I saw the title you mentioned as I hadn't heard of it before. I have almost all of the English language books on the Countess. I hope the book will eventually be translated. Failing that, I guess I will have to learn Hungarian. It is a beautiful language.

I've been reading Dante's Inferno. An interesting read albeit Hell from a Christian perspective. I think some of the poetics are lost in translation but quite still a tasty affair.
i reading in my free time da vinci code dictionari simon cox
Reading Beowulf (translated, not old english), and Sir Gawain And The Green Knight for english lit. Getting ready to read all three Lord of the Rings books (to be treated as a single text over 6 lectures. I'm ready to croak).
One book that I read recently that I found wierdly interesting was Melissa Marr's 'Fragile Eternity'. I tended to avoid faerie books, but that was really refreshing. It's quite sad that it's put in the same category as Twilight.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

Wanted to start new series of books and this seemed interesting enough.
Lord Byron and Nietzsche
I'm reading Carrie by Stephen King right now for a report for school, and also reading
Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice for the 9th time haha.
Complete And Utter Zebu: The Shocking Lies We're Told Every Day by Simon Rose

Not really that shocking lies to me at least.
"Intensity"- Dean Koontz

Great book!
Robert A. Heinlein - Farmer In The Sky
