What album got you into Cradle of Filth? Your holy fuck moment
As a cradle fan i really wish i would have gotten in to cradle during there first album. But being American (and only 13) i got into them during the midian album. It was the most memorable day of my life i walked by and at the time there was mtv x which played metal videos and i seen the video for her ghost in the fog. And the only thing i could think was holy fuck there's music like this. So it was off to the internet i went to find out as much as i could about this great band.

im 34 and have loved metal since i was 12. the first cradle i ever heared was cruelty and the beast and was blown completely away! it was so new and fresh compared to anything i'd ever heared and i have since become a complete and true to the bone fan of these guys!pure genius!

For me it was Cruelty And The Beast. The whole concept of Erszebet Bathory rocked my world, age 14, and I was immediately researching everything I could about her, and tirelessly played their songs on "loop" on my mp3 player for months. Then it occurred to me to actually check out the rest of COF's stuff (I'm not generally very musically adventurous) and the entire world of Cradle was opened up to me. I was like a starving kid who'd stumbled across a massive feast, the sort of feast kings have in cartoons. These guys have single-handedly revolutionized music for me, and the way I look at things. It is now on my To Do Before I Die list to see them play live, at least once. They leave every other artist I know in the shade in terms of lyrics, music, themes... everything. Filthy for life! xD

I heard Nymphetamine (Fix) and I was like, ehh. They're okay. Then I looked at the related videos and saw the title "Born in a Burial Gown." I was probably 11 at the time and was thinking "oh my god that is terrible!" I clicked it and was instantly addicted.

it was probably Lord Abortion. My friend made this CD of his favourite songs and he kept saying I had to listen to that one. When I did I was like holy fuck this is amazing. After that I went and bought Midian then Dusk and her embrace.

me?at first i got to know the name cradle of filth from metal edge magazine,saw thier pic that make me say (wtf?!?!)am amaze with the way they look,from ghoulish makeups,leather getups,and thier accesories (gothic spike ring sumthing like that) bought my first album midian and vempire.....and from that day on wards,i keep looking for other album,also i got thier dvd's.........hehe cradle still rules till now
