But Id love to know why?

Mine would be Lovecraft and Witchhearts weirdly enough.

Dusk and her embrace then Midian then all of their Disography
the first was dusk and her embrace and the first songs were: dusk and her embrace and haunted shores ,,,,,,,,,,, in my opinion this is the best album of COF
Dusk And her Embrace.

I was looking for something darker than the other metal bands I was listening to. I saw a copy of Dusk on the shelf at my local music store back in 1996, and was immediately drawn to the cover artwork. I checked out the lyric booklet and loved the photos of the band and their image, as well as the castle ruins etc. They were just what I was looking for. I was expecting them to sound more like Type O Negative (I don't know why), but was absolutely blown away by their songs and especially Dani's vocals. The songs that really stood out to me were: Heaven Torn Asunder, A Gothic Romance and Beauty Slept In Sodom. They've been my favourite band ever since.
Mine was "Cruelty and the Beast"
I first heard 'Her Ghost in the Fog' on a mix cd a mate game me. It cut out halfway through, and I loved the song, but didn't realise.
Then one day i baught 'Bitter Suites To Succubi', and heard the whole song. I was so shocked there was more too it, and the key change really got to me *insert girly emo tears here :P*
Needless to say, upon completing listening to that album, I was hooked
the first song i heard was their cover of "hallowed be thy name". the album that REALLY got me into them was thornography.

Her Ghost In The Fog isn't on Bitter Suites..... it's on Midian and Lovehearts And Witchcraft.

Even the video for Her Ghost In The Fog cuts out halfway through, which is disappointing.
Yipe....your right XS.....can I blame the christmas drinks....or being yelled at for being anti-social by the family??

It was Love Craft and Witchhearts....and agreed, always been dissopointed that the video drops out

Cruelty and the Beast
Damnation and a Day. I love all their albums equally, even Thornography
I had heard Cradle beforehand but i think the first album that really got me into them had to be Midian, and it is still my favourite album of theirs today.
I say Damnation And A Day. Its one of my favorite albums because of the symphony and I love the lyrics.
