Hi all,
Below is a link to some pictures from the Cambridge warm up gig. Not a fantastic selection, but it's the best I could manage with a crappy camera (some are from my iPhone though) while trying to enjoy the gig myself.
The password is 'wackenwarmup' - I hope, lol. Let me know if there are any problems.
Wacken Warm Up Cambridge Show Pics
And here is Funeral in Carpathia and Her Ghost In The Fog for now. I'm still uploading the other videos I recorded. So, patience ;)
Funeral In Carpathia
Her Ghost In The Fog (Dani introduces the new Danny too)
The Forest Whispers My Name
Nymphetamine
Enjoy!

Thank you so much!

Can't wait to see the Wacken performance now.
I wish they could play like one new song off the album to tease us.

More to come, one more uploaded, another currently uploading.
It really was a great warm up gig, and I agree...both Dani and Caroline sound very, very good indeed.
Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on August 4, 2012 at 3:19 Yeah, that seems pretty good to me. I'm still sort of annoyed that I don't live in Cambridge anymore - and now that I won't be living in London come December, looks like I won't get a chance to see them again for a long while.
Interesting to see that Dani's gone back to looking pretty much the same as he did during Godspeed times.

Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on August 4, 2012 at 3:28 Keep them coming, I like this. I was having a Cradle marathon on the tube earlier and this seems like a fitting end to my day.
One thing though; was Dani expecting the audience to jump in with the lyrics to The Forest Whispers My Name? "Under bindings of Christ and downtrodden with scorn in the dank odiferous earth" isn't quite as catchy as "we will rock you".
Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on August 4, 2012 at 3:32 She definitely seems to hit less dud notes than Sarah used to.
Plus she managed to sing the choir parts to Deconstruction by DTP (one of the most spastic albums I've heard) with only a couple of weeks' preparation to be recorded for a DVD, so she's got some serious balls to go with her ability.

Permalink Reply by Skullera on August 4, 2012 at 3:32 Only one more after this, the last one uploading to You Tube and then that's my lot of recordings from the show, I'm afraid. My arms began to ache after a while :p
Lol, perhaps. I'd love to see/hear a Cradle version of We Will Rock You ;)
Permalink Reply by Lifestalker on August 4, 2012 at 3:42 Yeah, especially I love her version of Nymphetamine better. Sounds closer to the original. Sarah's voice just doesn't work with that song IMO. She was more fitting in the earlier Cradle days.
