Very F***ing Curious
Hey, comrades! I just want to understand one thing: looking through some profiles (MANY profiles) one can see some concert photos of CoF as personal + logos or portrait pics of the CoF band members. Why? Are all these people the CoF band members ::) ? What's the reason? Are those people too shy to post their own photos? Why not posting them?
As for me, it is much more interesting to see real CoF fans, but not the trivial avatars copy-pasted from the CoF pics from the web...

I don't really care to see random people's photos of their birthday bash either. Or them in with corpse paint of the same pose in 20 photos.

Why "random photos"? You communicate with some people on the forum, and if you are interested you look through their accounts... What do you prefer: seeing (once again) a photo of Dani Filth or a photo of a person having some particular opinion on something?

Good question! Its something I ask myself everyday.
Who knows why people do this. There are just too many duplicates on this site.
When this site JUST opened up, I uploaded rare photos for other fans to see. Others were doing the same thing. I stopped uploading rare pics due to witnessing them being spammed on the photo section by others. Still from time to time, I upload personal memorabilia and fliers that have never been seen before. After some time, people started uploading photos that are very common. Like for an example, people keep uploading pictures from the Nymphetamine era.
Not to mention children uploading photos of themselves in their weekend goth attire... And their poor cosmetology skills...

There are really many duplicates on the site - photos and videos. Tbh there should be section for CoF pics and section for fan pics but honestly I don't even know what's possible with the site.
And if we'd let every pic go through then you'd have to look a lot of pics about people's bikes, tattoos, pets, feet, you name it we've probably had it :P

I think its more plausible to have a couple photos of yourself, but i do agree that tons of Dani Filth pictures is kinda boring and overloads the site.

Haha, very true of so many profiles I've seen.
As for me, I don't find it necessary to use pictures of myself. It retains some level of anonymity/privacy.

I think I once had person who tried to upload about 100 pics of herself (pretty much in same clothes/makeup etc. just with different poses). I think I accepted 10 and deleted rest :P

I would like to see the person, but use any avatar as profile for privacy ... that's up to the individual. But a couple is enough, I only put a couple up because I was asked and as they had pics posted it seemed fair. Personally, I prefer to see who I chat with, or add as friends ... not that it matters tho'. These days I rarely look at people's profiles.
