I've noticed on one part of CBTO there is this part "So demons dragged this libertine lusts screaming for release. Upon the (two syllables) flesh of maiden preened as canvas for caprice." what are the two syllables in the parenthesis? All online lyrics don't have it, I was wondering if someone knows.

i listened to it like 4 times now. i didnt hear anything between those two words.
(its at 5:40)

i can't tell for sure but it sounds like it might be "the 'sacred' flesh". Thats my best guess
Wouldn't be surprised if there were an extra few words in there. It's not uncommon for artists to record the vocals slightly differently from what's printed in the booklet, after all.
very true, especially cradle, the songs are poems, and the lyrics are equally as important as vocals or instruments
idk
gee whiz if that isnt helpful

I always assumed it was "naked flesh", meh.

Sounds most like that on the "Heavy Left Handed..." DVD anyway, not so much on the album.

Or "aching flesh" maybe... sacred also would make sense.
sounds like anus flesh... but that would be strange.
naked sounds right, since its hinted she was a lesbian
