The Gospel of Filth
Hi everyone !
I thought I had to share this with you. I'm the official french translator for the book "The Gospel of Filth". I've almost finished my translation, so I've read about 99% of the book and I can tell you it's amazing. Well documented, it goes very deep in its subject, well written and very interesting.
It's definitely worth the wait.
I've heard the english version of the book should be out this spring, I hope it won't be delayed once more. As for the French version, it will be released next year without any doubt.

If you've made your order while it was possible, that was before halloween I think, and if you've paid it, then you're gonna have it, there should be no problem with this.
The Fabpress website says that the special edition will be out on December, 2nd. So, is this the date they are actually starting to send the book, or will it be a week later ? Anyone knows ?

Ok. Heres a copy of the e-mail I received yesterday,hopefully it will clear a few things up.
Thanks very much for pre-ordering the Bible binding special edition of The Gospel of Filth.
Due to the complexity of this production, in particular the need to individually number and sign each copy of the book, and the hand-binding techniques required in order to produce the finished article complete with embossed cover, the Bible edition was offered for sale as a pre-order item, so that we knew exactly how many copies to manufacture.
On the order page when you made your payment we stated a planned shipping date of 27 November. Unfortunately, there has been some delay at the bindery and we have not been able to meet this intended dispatch date. Partly this is due to the unprecedented amount of interest from fans of Cradle of Filth across the globe; we can now confirm that the Bible edition will be a limited edition of 1,150 copies.
Please be assured that the bindery has been reminded of the urgency of this publication, and are proceeding as swiftly as possible to complete the work, but their latest estimate is that the books will be 10 days late - they have informed us to expect the Bible edition to be ready for dispatch on 7 December.
We thank you for your patience and understanding, and trust that when you receive your copy you will be the proud owner of a legacy publication that will last a lifetime.
UK customers - Royal Mail's final dispatch date for guaranteed delivery before Christmas is 15 December, so there is plenty of time to ensure that your book will be in your hands before the winter break.
Customers outside the UK - we are preparing customs forms to be attached to each package that state 'Christmas Gift - Book', so that the relevant postal services will be aware of the urgency of these deliveries.
