The first time you saw cradle of filth live your reaction?

The first time i saw Cradle Of Filth was with septic flesh and Satyricon (I actually could afford to go to a show!!) I was excited I loved septic flesh and Satyricon, The vocalist for septic flesh kept doing some wierd flutter finger thingy and was funny to be honest! Satyricon was amazing would love to see them again! Cradle Of Filth what can i say they were amazing!  the guitarist bass drums everything was fricken amazing!! I had a chance to see them in feb but sadly couldn't no money and was out of town! When they come back i will definately be seeing them again for sure!

My 1st time was on December of the last year and I was in a foreign country totally alone, I confess I was scared and very excited. When I saw Dani I was euphoric! I made headbanging the whole show and sang so much and of course took lots of photos, I hope there will be a 2nd time

''They look like gods' and 'Dani, you're a sex-booooombbbb!!!!!!111'.

I also got to hear Sarah before the tour ended and she parted ways with Cradle and hear Charles as a guitarist, which I think is pretty great.

Viva la Bands Tour in 2007. They were pretty amazing.

I saw them live for the first time in my life this summer at metaltown sweden

went all way down to gotenburg from umeå

to see them , The only thing that was disapointing with the show

was

this

1 bad sound

2 well short setlist

3 weather

4  bad audience

5 i missed alot of the old cradle

mostly on the look of dani'

ofc the show was great

but i still wish that dani's voice would come back

and he would stop cutting his hair

now i said it no nid to coment on that i said that...

but yes even i as fateful to cof as i am i would love to see them again

The first time was september 98 on the cruelty and the beast tour. HANDS FUCKING DOWN to that show at mexico's circo volador after that i saw them in september 2004 and again on january 2009 But the best time to experience them was 98 and 04

I just loooooooove it!

"the only thing that was disappointing was this ..."

*proceeds to list about 10 things*

December 2008 in London was the first time.  It was also my first major band extreme metal gig.

It was great just to see them live, but they played an unusually short set (not really their fault) which cut off staple songs like Her Ghost In The Fog, Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids and From The Cradle To Enslave.

I actually remember that night more for Moonspell and Gorgoroth's performances, as well as being one of only about ten people in the audience for Septic Flesh at the beginning - little did I know that they were actually quite a well-respected band, I thought it was just some roadies having a laugh.

How was the atmosphere in Gorgoroth? I know their shows can be pretty extreme sometimes.

I was talking about it not so long ago in another thread.

Yeah, really good atmosphere.  This was back when Gaahl and King were still running things, and they definitely put on a good show (with naked crucified people and everything).  I wasn't sure about some of the fans with swastika and SS Eagle tattoos who turned up, though.

Hah.. people these days. They probably still think a fourth Reich is coming. Did you say anything to them, or they say anything to you?

Did I say anything to them?  No.  If they want to believe such stupid shit, that's their business.  If they had come up to me and started explaining why they believed it, or if they'd started trying to kill the Jews, then I'd get to work.

It's funny in hindsight because this was just before Gaahl came out of the closet - I bet that crushed them.
