The first time i saw Cradle Of Filth was with septic flesh and Satyricon (I actually could afford to go to a show!!) I was excited I loved septic flesh and Satyricon, The vocalist for septic flesh kept doing some wierd flutter finger thingy and was funny to be honest! Satyricon was amazing would love to see them again! Cradle Of Filth what can i say they were amazing! the guitarist bass drums everything was fricken amazing!! I had a chance to see them in feb but sadly couldn't no money and was out of town! When they come back i will definately be seeing them again for sure!

I just love the entire album. It's so amazing. I've been listening to them since I was about 15 or so..I was a teenager..Just not one of THOSE teenagers. I was like one of 3-4 goth kids in my entire school. I got made fun of for listening to COF as well as other metal bands.

The song pretty much detested by the majority of older Cradle fans as it's the track that brought in all the teenybopper girls that didn't listen to Extreme Metal or Black metal.
It is a good song though ;)
LivingDeadGirl said:No! I love Her Ghost in the Fog! It's my favorite Cradle song ever!
Permalink Reply by Psychoscot on June 5, 2012 at 1:44 It's not as big a hit as Number Of The Beast, Aces High or The Trooper. But I agree odd that they didn't play it!

I was amazed Iron Maiden didn't play Run To The Hills at Sonisphere, though. I can understand leaving it out of a tour where it's only proper fans who'll be seeing you, but you'd think that'd be the centerpiece of a festival headline performance.
Psychoscot said:Yep, and If you saw Nirvana and they didn't play it many fans would be pissed. Same with Iron Maiden and Number of The Beast etc etc! There are certain songs that no matter how much a few people dislike them, they have to play live. Nymphetamine is one of Cradles most popular song and got many younger people into them. Bands may chop and change set lists to fit new tracks in, but they also have the 2 or 3 songs that get played at every show and for good reason. :)
Permalink Reply by Psychoscot on June 5, 2012 at 1:47 Goths don't listen to metal ;) They like The Alarm, The Cure, Jesus and Marychain and stuff like that. If you mean you listened to Goth metal, then your a metalhead not a Goth ;)

Permalink Reply by LivingDeadGirl on June 5, 2012 at 9:40 Psychoscot: I listened to goth, metal, and goth metal so I guess I was a little bit of both. Point is..This was back in 2000 when kids weren't as accepting and I come from a small family town where I am pretty much the only person who dyes her hair "different" colors and has piercings. The most we get here is the "scene mall metal heads" who listen to Slipknot and shop at hot topic and they're generally about 14-16. These days I don't even bother labeling myself as anything as my music taste is all over the place.
Dradle: I think it all depends on where you live really. Like I said above..coming from a small family town isn't easy. People are full of judgment. Luckily, It's gotten much better over the years. My hair is turquoise right now and people are always complimenting my style. *shrugs* Times change I guess. :P
Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on June 5, 2012 at 11:00 I don't know. I lived in the countryside throughout my teenage years and went to an all-boys private school which valued money and athletic ability over anything else, but I always got away with it. Maybe I was lucky.
Permalink Reply by Kevin Hall on June 5, 2012 at 11:14 I think so but if you don't react and even laugh "with" their jibes they usually leave well alone, that's what I did and seemed to work (poor and basically non-athletic). Many get ostracized if they are not a "jock" or one of the boys, especially here at all boy schools. Not so much inner city but outer suburban here can be nasty ... just wrong with bullying etc.

Permalink Reply by Psychoscot on June 5, 2012 at 17:16 Went to a private Boy/Girl school and never got bullied for my music taste, but then when I was in High School Glam Metal ruled the world. No hip hop fan would had dared mock as the majority of the school were into stuff like Poison, Motley Crue etc!
I miss those days!

Permalink Reply by Bloodflower on June 5, 2012 at 17:57 I´m into metal now for about 2 years and I never got or get bullied. My friends accept me just the way I am. I don´t have many friends but true ones. Sometimes people look at me dismissively and sometimes some relatives mock at me but nothing grave.
Permalink Reply by Cassandra on June 5, 2012 at 19:00 I wasn't mocked. My taste in music was all over the place in high school (still is). I live in a small suburban town and sports was a big thing at my high school. To be honest, my high school was diverse, but clique-y. You had your jocks/popular girls, nerds, the thug life kids, scene beans/mall goths, and that was about it.
