Well I think that if they were to allow religious imagery on campus then they should not ban things that are deemed, "Satanic." If one can were a crucifix then one should be able to wear a pentagram. And etc etc etc.
What kind of school are you at? Unfortunately if it's a religious school, you're not going to have much luck are you?

I'm a teacher (but not a Satanist) and I've worn pentagram necklaces and earrings at work (which isn't a religious school) before, years ago though, nothing was said of it, I wasn't warned if they did notice but it wasn't a problem. I've spotted some students with pentagrams etc but no 'Satanist' imagery as such, perhaps on books (we have a uniform) but there hasn't been any problems with religious or Satanic imagery. My school has more of a problem with 'unnatural' hair colouring lol.

But it doesn't bother me either way what a student wears, although it would be annoying if they wore stuff which they did not understand and only wore it to be 'cool' or deliberately 'provocative'.

Also you may not believe in god now, but who knows about the future? You may change your mind. I wasn't sure what I believed really when I was at school myself as a student but as the years went on I realised I didn't and bordered on being an agnostic / atheist. I just don't 'buy' all that god stuff, I don't think he or she is up there or any hes or shes are up there. But that's just me..
If it's a public school that allows christian and other religious stuff, then they are discriminating against you.
My high school didnt allow religious shirts or anything to be worn among the lines of religion.
I think its because the vice principle was an Atheist or something.
I dont know. Just a rumor I heard.
When I was in high school, some kids got away with wearing pentagrams.
I don't see the big deal about it.
Wear what you want.
Why do you wear corpse paint to school?
I've seen kids wear black eyeshadow/eye liner and the black lipstick, but never full blown corpse paint.
I think it's a bit strange if you go full on corpse paint to school.
Doesn't it smear and your skin get greasy?

Because I think it's basically sad tbh even if it once in a while unless it's a day of do whatever or wear whatever you want or something.

Eyeliner or something in a bit of a dramatic way is fine but wearing full corpse paint in school (as opposed to at a gig or party or wherever) is a bit LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! AREN'T I COOL AND REBELLIOUS AND INTERESTING AND METAL?'.

And yes I agree it can be distracting to other students whether they are into it or not.

I wouldn't want to teach a class with a kid or few kids sitting there with corpse paint on their faces for goth's sake. UNLESS it is a day of non uniform or whatever as a one off and for some light humour once in a purple moon.

I don't know, maybe because of my age or what I am it just seems a bit *roll eyes* been there seen that done that kinda thing. Although in my case I didn't wear make up in school but at university, I had huge dramatic panda almost type eye make up with sweeping lines and tear drops what not when I was 19 as a statement of my image but I think that's more acceptable at uni as there were others with either same or similar style and it wasn't as distracting as it would be to teenagers, adults can tactically ignore things like that and focus on the real reason why they are there - to study and learn. You know? But even at uni I saw no one with full blown corpse paint unless I was at a gig or club.

So maybe if you have done it, then it's done and you can say I wore corpse paint to school heehee it was fun and experience to see reactions. It should end there.

But whatever, you'll carry on doing it anyway.

I say save it for clubs/gigs/out of school etc.

unfortunately satanic imagery IS considered offensive by a large portion of the population

They don't really have a right not to be offended by someone wearing something they perceive as offensive to their religion. Religions are ideas, not people, and thus do not have rights. If it were racist or homophobic, that would be another story.
In Finland I have never heard anyone been discriminated of what they wear even tho I don't think everything should be allowed especially for under 18yo students (like swear words or naked people on shirts).
In my high school, hundreds of years ago, I had a Deicide tee that said "End of of God the way it must be" and that was ok, along with Type O Negative Bloody Kisses with the chicks almost kissing, the Slayer patch on my jacket wasn't ok, it was "Slaytanic Whermacht". That was deemed "Nazi" and that was no good. (I"M not a Nazi either) I like good music. If the shirt you choose reflects your opinion, they should deal with it. By the way, my Pantera shirt with the Pot Leaf on the front was not allowed either, not very satanic, but portrays a message not deemed appropriate for a learning environment. So I bought 2 ;)
i wear new rocks to work. i work in a bank. and i have an inverted cross on my name badge.
