I don't know too much about Satanism. Infact, it confuses me, because I've come across many different types of Satanism. I've come across specific terms for specific types of Satanism (Not that I can remember any of these, unfortunitly.)

Why are there so many different types of it?

And can somebody explain to me exactly what being a Satanist is all about?

Are there any particular types of Satanism that are wrong or right?

Is there an Official Satanic bible like there is the Christian one? I've kept seeing these, and the confusing part is they're all different!

I'd appreciate an answer to any of the questions, thanks!

I did not hear that there is a unique Satanic Bible. There is a book with such name, but it is not uniform. It read all 1/4 of Satanists and does not fulfil its requirement.
there are so many types because there are really noo rules when it comes to satanism, so people can worship as they feel is rite
The practice of satanism is as individual as its practitioners, because there is no organised church around it. By the same token, there is no canon of scripture common to satanists.

There are, however, two major varieties of satanism: one variety believes satan to be a real divine figure, and directs actual worship and ritual toward that figure; the other is fundamentally an atheistic/agnostic movement that rejects religious asceticism, i.e. the resistance of natural physical urges under the belief that they are somehow vulgar or profane. To the average christian, both types are equivalently evil.

In general, both types of satanism exist to shock and offend, not for any higher spiritual purpose. They derive their adherents not from any semblance of accuracy or desirability, but from the word "satan" and its associated imagery. It is fundamentally a marketing tool; "satan" is simply a brand of weird religion, under which many such weird religions are sold. There is essentially no difference between worshiping satan as a divine figure, and having strange beliefs about the nature of God. It's just a name. Likewise, if you reject asceticism, there is no difference between calling it satanism or atheism or agnosticism.

The representation of a given belief as "satanism" is not about the belief, it is about using the word "satan" and creating a reaction from the outside. So if you want that reaction, just start calling yourself a satanist, and you don't actually have to do anything else.
satanism is concerned with worshipping the satan , it does'nt matter in which form you worship....
i dont believe in god nor satan (^,..,^) human imaginations..
satanism is a pegan religon, they worship the earth and think it will give them powers, the name according to anton lavey, was a joke, an antichristin type thing. there is so many types because people dont believe the same things but, there each kind of different but mostly the same. there is a unique bible, but its for devil worshipers not satanist, its called the devils bible and theres only one.

That's just a bible. The christian variety. They call it the "devil's bible" because according to legend, the monk who wrote it swore to have it completed in a single night - and when he couldn't, he sold his soul to the devil to honour his word, and the devil wrote the rest. So it's a christian bible written by the devil, or the devil's bible, just as the translation authorised by King James became the King James bible and the one created on Gutenberg's printing press became the Gutenberg bible.
fuck you Satan
fuck you God....
An atheist
Satanism is shit like any-ism. :P
Satanism isn't really a one religion (if religion at all). It's mostly about shocking people (like others have said) and every people have their own view of what it is and how it's supposed to be practiced. Pretty much like any other religion (like Christianity for example and its many ways and cults).

No official bible or other book or even guidelines (unless you're LaVey satanist and follow his rules).

And there is huge difference between satanism and satan worshipping.

theres a "satanic bible" by anton LaVey, whos the founder of the church of satan. (you can read this book online if your still quite interested, it is a very good book) :)

and theres different types of satanism as there is in christianity and other religions. And LaVey satanist dont believe in the devil as a deity but just as a symbol (just like the cross with christianity) and is more to do with common sense.  while the other main type of satanism usually consist of worshipping "satan", these "devil worshippers" usually are just extremist, if you will, of satanism, again, just like theres extremists in other different kinds of religion.

satanism is just about being yourself, having some common sense and just believing in yourself instead of something which you cant prove is there, thats just being weak (my opinion on the weak thing, of course others will have there own say) but like a few people have said before, theres not really any rules, just guidelines and you can play with them untill you find something you believe in and are comfortable with.

hoped i helped!

In fact, satanism is one of the most absurd and senseless movements in religion I ever heard about. Generally, satanists do not accept christianity as a form of world perception, but, considering Satan one of the fallen angels, they should accept it as it is. There is no solid system or a cult, but there are certain individual movements mostly profaning christian ceremonies.

Most actions fulfilled are aimed at underlining the evil nature of a cult or an adept.

But, of course, there are certain "churches", but their main activities (at least in Russia) are associated with vandalism. For instance, satanists ruined a pagan heathen temple near my hometown, having historical value, by the way...

If you want a piece of really FRIENDLY advice, don't have anything in common with this.

To my knowledge, some of the satanic movements existing are close to totalitarian sects aimed at controlling people and gaining certain profits. It is close to brainwashing (opinion grounded on personal experience; I was  very much interested in satanism when a schoolboy, but I stopped after "thinking it all over"; think it all over better, too, really).

THere are many reasons why people go into satanism. Why do you want to go into it? Is there something in christianity you do not accept? Or do you want to show your evil nature to the world? Think it over again and again. There are better ways to be in harmony with the world and yourself. There are many ways of spiritual self-development. First of all, think profoundly about what you really like/accept. What's worrying you?

Hope I can give you a good piece of advice.
