The topic is old, but there arent really any "new" topics, whatever you choose, someone will have already written about it, sorry. Besides, people who put their works here just want to share it with others, i dont think the main idea is to be told how good/bad you are. There are professional critics who do that ;)

*no, not eveybody posts stuff here because they want to be "praised" for it
*many poets have used references to mythology before Dani :) and some of them were also inspired by others before them.
*you may have your own opinnion, your choice of words just reveals much about your personality. Words can destroy, but you could instead use them to encourage someone to continue and try harder. Yes, hes obviously a beginner, i hope he continues writing and finds his own style.

first of all i want to thank you guys and girls for reading my post.
i'm not a guy who wants to be praised, after all i don't think i deserve to be praised
i put a post which i wrote trying to capture fragments of the cradle feeling(dusk...era), i do not claimed originality.
so what more appropriate than some opinions of cradle fans about lyrics with cradle's aesthetic?
about the so called "bad" comments: i think that a comment who said "you've got to improve that thing" helps very much

there is no original artwork...........
every artwork has taken ideas from others, from other peoples ideas or thoughts, from stories and tales...........
even dani, who i personally believe is a great lyricist has taken ideas from other sources............
in my opinion original is something that comes out of your heart while thinking of some things...or listening to music........
when writing, drawing etc you have to feel and not think... thats original...........
and any new lyricist,poetrist etc really hasnt formed hes own "art making personallity",so his work is an "imitation" of something other............
personal style is like a tree.......it begins from a seed that someone else burried in the ground and as the time goes by it grows.............and is one the "tree" whether to grow tall and healthy or just be an other parasite feeding on others..........
and only with real care it can grow healthy..........
so dont blaim someone that has just started writing,drawing etc whether he is good or just one more nothing...........
criticise someone who has been writing for a long time...........
but if anyone criticise you never be bothered........
if you criticise youll get criticised............
and man...your lyrics are good for a start, except the last two lines........
i dont think they much.........
just keep writing and youll become better and better...........
after all none starts from the top of the ladder..........

this reminds me of when George Carlin said he was going to say something that no other human ears have ever heard before in the history of mankind.. "After i stick this hot poker up my ass, I'm going to chop my dick off!".. LOL you know why no one has ever heard that before, right because no one has ever fucking said that before...LOL..
