Ok, so I'm pretty new here. This is just my second post, and the real reason I joined the forum. Apparently a New Zealand retailer was fined for stocking the controversial CoF hoodies, and ordered to destroy the merchandise in question -

Personally, I don't like the Jesus is a c*** shirts. I think they are needlessly offensive to people with deeply held beliefs, and even most people who don't care about Jesus still don't like the C-word (it's probably our only taboo word still left in the English language). I think CoF put the shirts out just or the shock value of them, but I lost some respect for them after finding out these shirts exist.
With that said, I also believe that if someone wants to wear a shirt like that, they shouldn't be legally forced not to. Everyone has a Right to free speech, and the government shouldn't interfere with this.
Anyway, that's my thoughts. I don't know if others agree, but I thought I'd share it anyway. What do you guys think?

"New Zealander now convicted for Cradle Of Filth-shirt
Fines and destruction of the shirts
Cradle Of Filth despite the age of their "Jesus Is A Cunt" shirt it is still provocative. In New Zealand, now a dealer has been convicted.
Actually, the Cradle of Filth-shirt that says "Jesus Is A Cunt" is very, very old hat. In New Zealand a 35-year-old was convicted because he still was selling the shirt.
Since 2008, the shirt in New Zealand is considered to be prohibited. The dealer had said Cradle of Filth Merchandise demonstrated that before the end of 2011 it is still available and fairly expensive.
The New Zealander has to pay $500 fine and also destroy the shirts."
From NZ article (Link) - " The tops also featured a highly sexualised image of a Catholic nun" Mwahahaha ,,, classic! :P

Section 2 Respect for Civil Liberties, Including:
a. Freedom of Speech and Press:
The law provides for freedom of speech and of the press, and the Government generally respected these rights and did not restrict academic freedom. An independent press, an effective judiciary, and a functioning democratic political system combined to ensure freedom of speech and of the press.
