According to Blabbermouth, cradle of filth is in the studio making a new album due out in april or may of 2010. Paul says this album will be a lot faster and heavier then Godspeed On the Devil's Thunder.

Why exactly do we need two active threads now...?
Eh, whatever. I can't deny a medium level of excitement, but I've never been one for hypes. Better not get disappointed in the end. Yes, we can hope, but it's not up to us to make this album good, it's up to the band, and so far, they have never let us down (sort of). I would love to get an "old" album again, but if they decide to continue their new (past-Midian) approach, then that's fine, too.
The album will sound the way it sounds, to be honest, i am crap at describing how something sounds and don't believe in comparing it to other albums. Hence, I am really the worst person to try and describe it, apart from knowing that I love the way it's coming together. Which, is probably even more frustrating for you lot to hear ;)

Plus, if you knew everything straight away, then there'd be nothing to look forward to now would there?
Is Scott Atkins the producer of AHE?

"12 April : Cradle Of Filth Album

Heres a quick update. Im working the next Cradle album for the next month or so. Met up with the guys this last sat and loaded the gear in to begin working out what we're gonna be using. Looks there was a few vans full, drums, cabs, amps, you name it. Early days so stay posted for updates. Recently got most of the solos and overdubs down on the Sylosis album, and tracked the rhythm guitars for the Andy James album also. "

"1 Mai : Cradle Of Filth Album Progress

Hey everyone. 3 weeks into the album now. The drums are all done, Martin has returned to Prague a very tired man ha ha. It was a mission, but we're well happy. 15 songs of extremely busy and incredibly fast stuff. The kit took a lot of maintenence along the way, to preserve the tones/tunings of day 1, lots of new heads etc. Was a great chance to see the difference some SSL mic amps and Neumann mics make in a proper decent studio. I have some good gear in my place, but the studio we are using has some GREAT gear. One day chaps eh.
Anyway, been chipping away at the riffin for a week now. Loads of scrubbing and trem riffs, as you can expect lol. Its sounding great. Some killers on here. Loading up the orchestra stuff this week."

lmao. yeah i agree with you sean,
they hype up every single album every time.
that i dont even get excited anymore.

i have a feeling that were all going to be let down and we get a decent/mediocre album.
they said godspeed was really fast too, with lots of keyboards and all that crap etc.
then when i listen to the album, i was like what the hell
where are the keyboards?
there's like 2 parts in midnight shadows.. where i can HEAR the keyboards
everything else is like in the background, not very noticeable.

you think just because they have an "orchestra" and its "fast"
that it's going to be a great album?

Incredibly fast-paced with an orchestra?

I know that, but all the elements for a great album are there this time! I have a feeling we will be in for a treat. Or a trick. Sorry, bad pun.

I wouldn't get too excited, they said the same thing about Godspeed (even throwing in a comparison to Midian and Dusk). I'll wait to see if it's any good before I do any running around the place, wanking into a flannel.

SQUEEEEE!!!!! Repressing the urge to run around in circles! I do believe the suspense will kill me. Hurry up already, October!

Thanks for the info, Cøuntess Báthøry xx
I really enjoyed Godspeed On the Devil's Thunder, it is waaaay better than Thornography and Nymphetamine. I hope it stays in that level.
BTW, All Hallows Eve is a great title and Peaceville is a also a great label!
i hope it sounds something along the lines of dusk and her embrace or cruelty and the beast or something. i dont think its gonna happen, but we can always hope lol
I don`t want anything "Heavier" or "Faster" than Godspeed, I want something better
I never saw this...Gets me excited

Good point ... they don't have a large following in OZ ... I'll spread the word when Album is released (on local websites etc) ... Surfing sites have Gen. Chat and Prvt. Messanger on-board! Ha, they can only delete ...
Also, they have to see about the record sales. : /

ok just a thought, a theory, but even when is a theory for now it can be a fact in the near future so keep it in mind, here we go: since COF now is on a independent label and not under Roadrunner do you think this can effect on how far this next tour can go? i mean there's threads posted by fans from several places (middle east, japan, indonesia, india, south america, etc) places where Cradle didn't tour on the past Roadrunner years, think about it, so if you want Cradle to play in your country my suggestion is everybody should talk and request COF TO YOUR OWN LOCAL CONCERT AND EVENTS ORGANIZERS because only them are the ones who can do something about it and as soon as the new album comes out buy it, if there's a special edition buy it too! record sales are very important, where the album is selling is more possible for Cradle to play there, that's how this works not posting requests here for the band to play on your city.
I love how we all thought this album was coming out in april or may..
They should just keep churning out albums. They only have what? 10 years left?
