My Death of Love (A true story)
The Death of love, let's me start to say that this song means so much to me.
From the first time I heard until this day it has given me strength, but also assosiation, this theme of Joan and Gilles.
You see I have this girl, ukranian, more beautiful than anything, in my eyes a goddess, and she's going going to be taken away from me. By the force of this evil and cold people. And this song spawns forth the feelings in this situation.
My girl cannot stay in my country because of yet unknown reasons. The fatal answer NO. NO and NO.
We were going to marry, to keep us together, to feel safe and a unit of love once and for all. Then these cowardly people, hiding behind documents and papers and unjust law, want to rip us apart without a righteous reason or anything.
Thus I want, deep inside, to summon the ancient viking spirit that inside dwells. To gather my friends and allies to erase those evil forces from the face of our planet.
So with my love by my side, my valkyrie, my goddes, to give me strength and hope.
And if I should tire and want to rest, lay down and give up, she would show me her blindingly beautiful face and body and give me new spirit and strength to fight on and on, never ever give up. Only death itself could stop us. Still, after death, it's not over. I believe Love crosses all barriers, all borders, everything.
So Cradle's music and Dani's words and voice will give me strength in this battle until the final eclipsing ending that will come, for good or for bad.
Love and Hope to you all, in this darkening world, we will stand strong together and never give in. Never
Love you, my Anna, my Valkyrie. But I will not storm home, not even after death parts us ,because I know you'll wait for me there, on the other side, in the light, down by the still lake, with fine wine for us share, not to forget, kisses. Love you

Right ... lame. Although I do find it funny that he seems to be implying that the home office is the root of all evil in this world, and that somehow the Vikings will take care of it ...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't The Death of Love about Gilles de Rais mourning the death of Joan of Arc because he admired her (without desire)? How does this "true story" even closely resemble it.
It sounds to me, if I deduce correctly, that this Anna person is leaving Frank due to visa reasons ... that's hardly similar to being martyred.

Yes Im desperate, and for a reason, ok, its not the end of the world and it will be fixed sooner or later.
All i wanted to say was that Cradles music and lyrics gives me hope and strength in a world full of people like you, so that I can fight on.

I'm sorry, but I fail to feel compassion for someone who blames the home office for all the world's evil and enlists the help of Viking spirits to save his girlfriend from deportation =)
It also seems like you've drawn the comparison between your plight and that of Gilles de Rais simply so it will appear to have some validity on this website.

I think she just meant fighting with each other on the forums (you and Sean both).
Yes, your situation is sucky but you should know getting Visas isn't that easy (in Finland it's mostly needed to have lived together for a year before your partner can move here from non-EU countries, and I mean to live, of course it's easier to get study or working Visas).
