Midnight in the Labyrinth will be terrible...

I love symphonic stuff but 'Midnight...' would be soooo much better if 'Cradle' were playing a long to the instruments in the orchestra, I thought it would be cradle playing with orchestras like Damnation and a Day or like how Dimmu Borgir rerecorded storm blast. But I think it willl sound great if they had at least one song with cradle playing with the orchestra. I don't know why they are even releasing it as their own anyway, ok they wrote the music but have they done many arangements and have they proformed if I am wrong i would love to be told... but go on GUN SHY ASSASSIN and see for your self!

I would hardly tell a difference if it was like Damnation.  I think they hardly used the orchestra to its potential in that album, and they might as well have used keyboards.  Also, Dimmu didn't use an orchestra when they re-recorded Stormblast, so you may want use a better example.

Jeez, after almost twenty years, people are bitching about orchestra/MIDI stuff in CoF work, are you fucking serious?  Lets just change that now!  WTF is all I can think about sometimes with people on this site.

I think it would sound much better if they put the classics mixed in or did some that they wre playing, any way will they actually perform anything on the album? And I don't care about orchestra or MIDI I think they should just not wate the amasing potential they could have with an orchestra which was sadly done on Damnation... my favourite track being better to reighn in helll which had not much orchestra anyway that album was also quite badly recoded compared to previous releases...

This is supposed to be purely instrumental, like Dani said, soundtrack sounding stuff (as well as not everyone's cup of tea).

 

I personally have been waiting years for them to do this sort of thing.  Pure orchestrations of their music with no vocals or heavy metal guitars. 

I think it will sound beautiful if done right, which I don't have any doubts on yet.

And not to stray of topic, I think the confirmed tracks for the album, so far, are satisfactory.  My main pick has been confirmed so I am happy haha.
