Listening to Cradle of Filth=Issues?

Are all Cradle of Filth fans angry and crazy because they listen to the music? Do they all not have any communication skills? This is what my gal seems to think.

 

What do you guys think? I object obviously.

No,  just a select few elitist here with no life that has ran everyone else off unfortunately.  Maybe when they move out of there parent's house and find a life this site will bounce back to normal like it was when it first opened.

Well I mean like in general, like at the concert she said all the people their were weird and stuff and they looked pretty damn normal to me.

Mhmm I know there is shit nothing wrong with me. I mean yes there are people who freak out and mosh at concerts, but not everyone is into that. So she can't say everyone that listen to Cradle is insane in the head. It would only be because that person chooses to act like a fool.

 

Your right she probably would prefer Lady Gaga over them...well she isn't that bad I guess. However, Justin Bieber.....oh god.

Seriously? There's much more aggressive music out there than Cradle :P. Plus they have more than a fair few mellower numbers...has she heard them?

 

It's essentially like saying that all fans of experimental/avant-garde music are insane nutcases, or that all fans of electronic music are robots. I'm certainly not an angry person. And I'll listen to anything from intense, energetic metal to calming ambient or even a little folk.

 

I suggest showing your girlfriend some old school grindcore or something so she knows what truly angry music sounds like xD. Then she might appreciate CoF and not see them as this angry mass of sound in comparison. :P

Yeah thats what I want to do..lol I told her Cradle is like baby stuff and isn't serious about what they say most of the time. Then she complains about their offensive shirts, but that is just them trying to see what is accepted in society and if you fall for it then that is why they are so popular.lol

Well, I am irrefutably a bit crazy *lol*, but actually quite a sunshiny character to be honest. It is a bit unfair to say such a thing about us, only cause she doesn't like the looks or whatever. Most metal heads I have met are more normal then so called normal people. Really nice and all. I don't judge people for listening to the Backstreet Boys, why would I? It's simply dumb. (No offence to your gf)

Most of my friends and especially my sister are afraid of Cradle and Cradle fans, because of their looks, wich is dumb, and I pointed that out a few times. Hello, make up!!! Also I told them that the band  are actually nice and cool people.

Your girlfriend seems a bit odd to me. What's her issue? What happened at the show to upset her so?

I already said...lol just the super fast force to get into extreme metal rather than starting w/ normal heavy metal. Then she saw some T-shirts that she saw and took offense to them. I would laugh because of it and she would get mad that I was laughing. I was laughing at the way she was reacting because it was nuts. It's funny because I never said "Jesus Is a you know what" because I feel it can be offensive, but she was saying it the whole time. She was making up all the BS acting like she knew everything, saying that the music will eventually affect you. Christ I've been listening to over 5 years and Im a better person!! I love it, I truely love her ignorance and stubborness. I swear it rubs off from her mother, who doesn't give two shits about her.

There even people there who dressed preppy.lol I even chatted w/ a few people while buying my shirt and they didn't "Cast my soul to hell". They were really nice.
