Just though I'd make a discussion on what was your most recent film you've seen.. and then you guys could maybe type a brief plot line of the movie and then give your review, on how good you thought the movie was.
Transformers : Dark Of The Moon = Best Movie Of 2011
That's all I have to say..
I suggest ALL of you to see it...
Even better than the blockbuster hit Battle : Los Angeles ;)

With the exception of it's production values he has stuck very close to the TV show that had paper bats and cardboard sets lol! The film is supposed to be lovably crap, that's whole point of it!

I liked Sweeney Todd. I also agree that Mr. Depp hasn't made a great film in a while.
I saw Dark Shadows yesterday. It was alright. I wasn't in love with the film, but it was decent.

Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on May 16, 2012 at 16:54 My problem with Dark Shadows wasn't the campiness or any of that (I'm a Roger Corman fan, I'm very used to it), it just had a bad script and really clunky dialogue, scenes where they repeated the same bad joke over and over again, a truly bizarre and incongruous extended Alice Cooper cameo, one of the most embarrassingly lazy and poorly-handled "twists" I've ever seen and Johnny Lee-Miller being completely underused.
But most of all there was just no point where I cared at all about any characters or where the story was going, I just wanted it to end. I haven't seen the original TV show, but if you have to have watched the original in order to appreciate the movie, then that's a sign that the movie has failed.

Permalink Reply by Psychoscot on May 16, 2012 at 22:54 Yes this is most definitely aimed at those who have seen the TV show more than newbies. The TV version quite often had no script and they made lines up on the spot, all the dialogue was very clunky, it made Corman flicks look Oscar worthy most of the time!
I do agree that he spent too much time on Depp and Green. He hired a good cast with Miller, Pfeiffer, Moretz etc and then never really used them. I'm guessing he's hoping it does well enough for a sequel where he can them maybe look at the rest of the family.

Permalink Reply by Dark Ill on May 17, 2012 at 12:40 Thought it was quite good .Angelina and Depp in a same film dont see that every day.At the beginning in the train she was just shining and i like when Johnny is acting these bit nerdish characters like in secret garden.
Also i enjoyed much of the southern europe scenes in Venice.Maybe the ending was too much for your morals leaving bad taste in your mouth .After all there wasnt really the good or bad determined in the traditional way, except the greedy psychopath who ends up dead.
