Last Film Seen...
Just though I'd make a discussion on what was your most recent film you've seen.. and then you guys could maybe type a brief plot line of the movie and then give your review, on how good you thought the movie was.
Transformers : Dark Of The Moon = Best Movie Of 2011

I suggest ALL of you to see it...
Even better than the blockbuster hit Battle : Los Angeles ;)

Erm lets see last one was Horrible Bosses. Not brilliant, but it had it's moments which were mainly down to Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston who both just stole the film. I could certainly watch their scenes again, but don't know if I could sit through the whole film. I guess if you have a real asshole boss and dream of killing him then you will get a kick out of this film, otherwise catch it on TV some time.

Hm.
Anyway, the last movie I saw in the cinema was the final Harry Potter. Apparently I'm the only one who thought it was a pretty awful film. Maybe a fitting end to the franchise (although I don't know how anyone can appreciate that sup-soap opera ending), but as a film it doesn't stand on its own merits.
The last movie I saw that I liked was Enter The Void. Someone described it as "Avatar for hipsters", and they're kind of right, but it's a good film with some really impressive camerawork and CGI. Michael Bay could learn something from Gaspar Noé - CGI doesn't have to be used tackily and to no useful effect.

On my holiday I've watched Dark Crystal, Perfume: The Story of A Murderer, Cleopatra and Sunset Boulevard (last three came from TV).

I haven't read the book since it came out (and even then only half-heartedly), but they left out some bits which would have translated to screen very well and kept in some rather tedious bits instead. Why they chose to move the final confrontation with Voldemort outside and with no witnesses is beyond me, as is everyone else's reaction (or lack thereof) immediately afterwards.
I think they were also driven to include as many of the cast members as humanly possible, which resulted in some very stilted and forced scenes. For instance, there's one part where there's a split-second flashback of Wormtail looking all wicked which serves no clear purpose other than to feature him, despite having no relevance at all to the plot in this film.
The first part was definitely the better film (and possibly the best one in the franchise), if only for the Three Princes animation sequence.

Just saw Battle : LA again tonight on Blu-Ray with the bro and papa. All loved it... I loved it even more the 2nd time. Everyone needs to pick it up.
