Someone just told me that Darkly Darkly Venus Aversa will be the last CoF album! This isn't true, is it? I just died a little...

I hope not, as I love COF.
Well...DDVA won't be their last CD, as far as Dani has confirmed the "orchestral" album "Midnight in the labyrinth" for next year (;-))
We should really stop this debate!
Lol, pointless indeed, if it was their last album they would have mentioned it before releasing. plus, dani's voice is getting better, and I expect him to keep singing until his mid forties, or until he can do it.
I totally agree with you.
How many times have I told you guys that Dani said the band can go on for atleast 15 more years?!
I hope you're right. if metallica members are all but mostly dead (just kidding), then CoF can also continue for a long more time.
Heck, maybe after they all die, they will rise from the grave as zombies and keep playing!

I completely agree with you. If they had meant to say that Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa was to be their last album. They surely woulkd have said something along the lines of "... Given their resources, interest in the band, and track record in the U.S., we believe CRADLE OF FILTH will be best positioned to better previous sales with their last album in North America."

Also; sorry for continuing this, again.

Well, yes, it definately referes to Godspeed...to better the sales of their last album, meaning to get the new album sold more often that the last one...How can this be gotten wrong by any means? I think people around here are slightly hysteric.

I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to, but on the official Myspace - I quote;

"... Given their resources, interest in the band, and track record in the U.S., we believe CRADLE OF FILTH will be best positioned to better the sales of their last album in North America."

????

Probably refers to Godspeed... here.
In all the interviews I've seen with Dani Filth recently on the internet, interviews with Paul Allender, etc., everyone seems quite happy and excited and enthusiastic with the new album and where the band is going now;
they seem ready to forge ahead into the future. The rumours are probably just the creations of Cradle nayesayers who just can't deal with Cradle of Filth triumphing, alive, well, and kicking, with an excellent new album out despite their [ the Cradle -haters] whining and bitching. i don't think there's anything to worry about.
