I have the 2 CD "Cruelty and the Beast" and have been looking for the intro music to Bathory Aria, but with only slight success.

I have read that the words are "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" going from high to low while a piano plays in the background. (Still not sure if that is totally accurate).

In any case the closest sound that I have found to that type of music is:
Gloria in Excelsis Deo - Antoine Brumel

An example is here:

The way COF manipulated the sounds in the beginning is very effective and I was looking for a longer version, if one even existed.

The very small print on the CD booklet (and my poor eyesight) makes it hard to decipher the source.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Currently I'm working on the instrumental version of Bathory Aria. If that helps.. and the choir at the beginning in Bathory Aria all it says is 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo' so I don't know what else you mean.
Thank you for the response Ivan. That is exactly what I was wondering about, if a extended Instrumental version was available that might also included a longer choir intro, I find that choir (while only seconds long) sets up an important tone for the whole song. Starting out singing 'Gloria in Excelsis Deo' at a higher-uplifting tone, then going lower into a somber/darker tone. Kind of like that of the Countess Bathory's life.
