Hey guys. I thought it would be nice to post a discussion related to an upcoming album. I'm referring to the sound, the theme, the atmosphere etc. I know Paul is already writing some new material and that it is gonna be darker and faster than Godspeed.
I think it would be awesome to share ideas with each other about an upcoming album. Let's hope that we together can create another masterpiece ;)

I would like more emphasis on the keyboards, making it darker and bringing more atmosphere in the music. The keyboards are nowadays pushed to the background. The return of a choir would be nice too. Also remain playing fast, but write a few songs that are slow or mid-tempo. That creates more differences between songs. The guitars should have the power like on Godspeed, but blend them with more melody like on Dusk and Cruelty. I don't say anything about the vocals and the drums, because those are always great :D

Well...Im a huge fan of Cradle and I have to agree with some people that Dani is starting to lose some virtues of his screams, but the deep growls and gutteral screams are sounding more "fleshy". BUT, on the other hand, some things i personally think would help with a new album would be having the guitars still playing badass riffs, but making them sound heavier, and deeper, as well as lightening up on the constant snare and cymbal banging on the drums; the keyboards should have a more orchestral tone to them, but darker and sicker. I would like to see them go back to a style similar to the sound they have in the song Babylon A.D.; but the themes should be as obscure as ever; but MUCH more Satanic, and twisted. nothing that will make them mainstream, since everyone is starting to blur the lines between idiodic whiny ass screamo and hardcore gothic black metal like Cradle. Cradle should cross the line in terms of content yet again and make themselves known as a powerhouse.
Whatever the hell the band wants to do...I just hope it doesnt sound like Nymphetamine, or Thornography, but more in the vein of Godspeed as it blew me the hell away in awe! As well as a mix of slow songs such as from Dusk...

They are always great with concepts, so Im excited about the new one...

hopefully more organic sounding as the older ones sounded, but i did enjoy the sound of Godspeed
Well they did keep their word with Godspeed and it blew me away especially Martin on drums killed. It was there most brutal record, but saying it would be faster than godspeed??! Is that possible?? Godspeed seems to be my favorite record because I find myself listening to it a million times because it reminds me of the old filth and its fresh and fun! I also thought it was Dani's best vocal performance, hell every members best performance!

I agree with the "slow" songs idea. All this hype about it being "incredibly fast and orchestral" stuff is supposed to impress us (same happened pre-Godspeed), but they forget that a lot of the best ones are fairly slow (or at least contain slow passages).
having martin fowl back would be great
