I am curious to know who here is a musician and/or plays in a band. I have played guitar since I was a kid and a few years ago I began to study classical guitar and have been recently focusing on flamenco (for anyone who hasn't heard good flamenco, check out Sabicas, one of the greatest:

Once I am finished university and have a bit more time I definitely want to begin to learn some metal guitar since I don't know how to play anything besides a couple tracks of Kill em all ; )

Me, I'm an expert at playing the pink oboe with just one hand!!

My 30 second concerto is a masterpiece!

@Keith Munro: Very cool! I study the classical guitar (and film scoring) too. :-)
I got pretty good at drums, though I never took lessons and my two guitar playing friends would get together with me and make a few original songs.

@Keman, awesome man, Are you studying at a school or privately?

@It'sABlackMetalReference, cool stuff, you still playing?

@Psychoscot, I think that's a relatively common talent but it sounds like you rush the ending

Unfortunately, I couldn't take my drumset when I moved from Ohio to Louisiana with my parents, but I'd still like to play.
@Keith Munro: I'm studying at a public university (in Switzerland). How about you? What pieces are you currently playing? :D
i play guitar but im pretty terrible lol
cant edit my comment to add that i play bass too xD

I am playing guitar and I am in a band called "Mephistophelian". A couple of months ago we published our first song on Myspace, and recently we recorded two more songs, and are now in stage of editing&mastering...

cheers :)

@It'sABlackMetalReference, too bad dude, get a guitar, they're easier to carry around!

@Keman, I have just taken private lessons, first with a classical guitarist and now with a flamenco one. Recently I haven't been studying any whole pieces per se as I have been learning the improvisational and accompaniment aspects which require learning individual falsetas and rasgeuado patterns and mixing them up on the spot (and occasionally writing my own). But I have been studying some stuff by Sabicas, Diego del Gastor, Ramon Montoya, Paco Pena and the like as well as stuff made up by instructor Victor Kolstee. And yourself?

@Ophidian, well at least you're playing, daily practice (or at least 5 out of 7) and I'm sure you'll be sounding better. Do you think any higher of your bass playing? ; )

@Xardas, that's a fucking great tune man, I look forward to hearing some more!

@Keith Munro
I used to be pretty good at bass, but since I got a V guitar (my dream guitar) I've been playing that everyday rather than my bass.

@Xardas
That demo is brilliant xD keep up the good work :)
I'm glad you like it :)
