Hey, are there any witches or wizards here? ;)

I was wondering... do you practise (or have you practised) any kind of magic - wicca, occult magic, satanic practices, etc... I have tried some magic rituals myself and wanted to know what ur experience is.. :)

I am a LaVeyan Satanist and have performed one Satanic Ritual. It was successful. I must say, it was one of the greatest, most satisfying experiences I have ever had. Also, I practice Satanic Lesser Magick daily (I must).

I was a Wiccan. Now I'm not sure what I am but I was never comfortable with the rituals. Either you have it or you don't.

Only thing that annoys me about wiccans is that they always say oh our beliefs go back thousands of years. It was invented in the 50's much like modern Satanism was in the 60. The ideas behind both go back a long time but both are modern belief systems with no real history other than those they have taken from existing belief systems.

People would be better off investing there time in the originals rather than what one man think they are.

I personally don't have much time for wiccans or modern witchcraft, there basically hippies with some occult trappings. I'm not knocking those that perform rituals as a lot of the rituals do date back to earlier systems, but alot don't. Its up to the individual to decide which is which though.

Gerald B. Gardner started the pre-Wiccan covens in 1939 already even tho it was popularised only in 50s.

I was Wiccan, never said that it dated back to hundreds of years. I know there are those who think or believe that.

I never did any rituals since to me the Wiccan rituals didn't suit me. That's why I don't call myself Wiccan anymore even tho there are some things I think are good in that religion. Then again some part of Satanism feels like something I believe in.

I think that everyone should make their own practices and not use someone else's creations. Do what you feel best. As long as you harm none ;)

Of course paganism/witchcraft isn't new but Wiccan is. It's based on older religions but it is still new as a religion.

I've always seen Wicca in a similar light to Mormonism. It took an old, old religion and put a new twist on it, introducing odd practises and new stories along the way.
