Okay, hopefully there has been no topic about this.

Right at the moment I am fairly interested in who is actually evil in the Bible. Satan, or his Creator God?

Now I highly think the bible is a text full of religious Dogma from the church, but this is interesting to just show people. However, sadly most people will still keep faith in "God" no matter what.

I am very neutral at least saying I believe that spirituality exists. However, I don't agree with religions etc. etc.

I haven't read the bible cover to cover, but so far from what I've heard from people is that Satan hasn't really killed anyone at all except for one-time under God's command. On the other hand God has killed millions. He is Egotistical, a Sadist, and Genocidal. If god is omnipotent, why did he let Satan rebel against him in the first place? Why did he have to send himself as his "son" to die on a cross for our sins if he created it in the first place?

No I am pretty sure the text's are used to control masses and were tampered with many times. It is obviously written by man, many different men to be precise over a period of time.

So hopefully, someone here knows more about the numbers than me. Also let's make this discussion interesting. All opinions welcome. :)

LoL Couldn't explain it better

Probably his attempt at two questions in one? Gnosis and Gnosticism ...lol

Gnosis means the knowledge of the "self" ... the enlightenment of the human being compared to the followers of "faith" in dogma or "rationally thinking" or theorizing as in the Christian churches view. Over-simplified explanation ... look it up if you're really interested.

You see, the Gnostics were onto it so, of course, hated by the church ...

I know about Gnosticism but haven't heard about that one.

I was watching on a movie on google video about how the genesis book in the bible is actually about sex. It was pretty damn interesting to be honest.

Gnostics never took anything literally. They believed in the arcane or unknown that people weren't aware of. The symbolism and so on and so forth.

I think Gnosism is better than what we have today, it actually helps us to look for knowledge rather than "blind faith"

Definitely ... but remember, knowledge of the "self" not knowledge as in a book as you said "blind faith" :)

i believe that like ive said in a other ''conversation'' that i dont know if i believe in him i mean if he was so powerfull couldnt he just snap his fingers and make people not hurt anymore like you said yea he did create evil so isnt that evil of himself??? and why did he let Adam and Eve eat from the tree and make women have to go throught all this shit and make men have to work?couldnt he just defeate Satan right now if he was so strong and powerfull???

In this day and age, why would anyone think that religions and gods are more than mere human invention is simply beyond me. You can BELIEVE in god, satan, santa and all other fairytales, but you will never be able to prove they actually exist. In fact, to really believe such stories, you have to throw out the window any reasonable way of thinking; I mean, how else can you justify your belief that a virgin gave birth to a man who walked on water, died and came back to life?

And before anyone asks, yeah, I agree that I cannot prove that gods do not exist; but why in the world would I have to prove the inexistence of anything? I mean, do I have to prove santa (yeah, santa, not satan ;-) does not exist to justify the fact that I do not believe in him?

Read Goethes Faust. :-P

According to that book, the seduction of Adam and Eve is part of man's creation. Hence, Satan is considered God's puppet, as he uses him for that purpose. And yes, the biblical God in the Old Testament is egoistical and kills millions of people. Being omnipotent implicates being able to do "evil" things. A "good" God can't be considered omnipotent.

However, negative experiences (to a certain extent!) make life enjoyable. That's psychology/relativity.

But Satan gave Adam and Eve the ability to know what is good and what is evil if they took from the tree. Why would God not want them to have knowledge and just be blind for eternity?

Well Santa was a real historical figure that gave gifts, but not how they portray him now.lol

And to aiden alexis, snap his fingers? See I don't understand why people refer to God as a human being sitting in the sky? That just makes people look even more psycho. Now If we all refered to God as the "life force" of all things then you know, we would probably all get along and have a compromise. It's that easy!!! However, our world....hmmm probably won't happen for a long long time if not ever.

Saint Nicholas was a historic figure who Santa is based off of.  Santa is not a historical figure.
Yes thats what I meant.lol Santa was a historical figure, but named Saint Nicholas. Yes Santa wasn't his real name.
