We were trying to do a synthesis essay as a practice for the Advanced Placement English Language and Composition exam, and the rich kid cluster (who hate the teacher) were complaining and laughing and raising ruckus. They didnt want to write the essay, so they kept whining about how the teacher wasnt going to grade it, and how we didn't have a document (which was something the teacher had already told us). Finally, one of them called the teacher dumb; and I don't have a problem with the fact they think that of her. But to say that when the teacher isnt there to defend herself and to have such a lack of respect bothered me, so I went and told the principle and stayed in the office to attempt to write my essay in relative peace.
Its been that way all year. We have to do something long and tedious, and instead of shutting up and doing work, they complain the entire class period they were supposed to have worked. The teacher doesn't do anything about it because she really doesn't care if a bunch of kids want to fail her class. But at this point, with the AP in 2 weeks, kids shouldnt be trying to sabotage classes anymore. They should be trying to pass the exam thats 70% of their grade for the year.

So far I have a GPA of 3.0. Once this Elementary Algebra exam gets graded, I will find out how I did for the class. I had an A, but it slipped down to a C.
