Permalink Reply by Nutsack of Filth on July 22, 2012 at 20:20 Traffic, public transport, businesses having to close, police crowding every station giving people hassle for no reason, astronomical fines for going into one of the "Olympic lanes" (i.e. most central roads), another 70,000 people in an already overcrowded city with a shaky infrastructure which was essentially built for donkeys and carts.
On top of all that, very few of us can afford to go to any of the events. It's like someone having a loud, messy party in your house, but you're not invited.
Plus, the Olympics are boring.

Permalink Reply by Kevin Hall on July 23, 2012 at 0:12 HAHA That's what you get for winning the bid! The 2000 games were at least out of the city center here and mainly by-passed from transport hubs. Venue costs were astronomical, I think we could only afford the synchronised swimming event.
