Yeah, Ihsahn does the screaming vocals on Juular, but the album also has guest spots from Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth), Floor Jansen, Greg Puciato, Paul Kuhr, Oderus Urungus ... and more that I'm forgetting.  Quite an all-star album!
He's had guest vocalists before but not sure if this many in one album. Well, two.

It's usually just one, isn't it (if any)?  Like Anneke from The Gathering, which made perfect sense to have a female vocalist for Addicted.

I think he said in an interview that he wanted to have guest vocalists on this album to give it a more theatrical sound which wouldn't have come off as well if he'd done all the vocals himself (he also has a few guest drummers and guitarists from Meshuggah and Soilwork on some tracks).  I agree, too, it does sound more diverse as a result.

I really liked Anneke in Addicted. Well I like her voice in general.

I should probably head to bead so I can get up early enough to bake and do final cleaning before parents come over.

This is a pretty great video.  70% anyway.  It's like a Bond film opening sequence but if Bond had been a massive prog fan and taken enough DMT to stun a rhino.

For Duvessa:  Devin live with Anneke at Tuska this year

Yeah I missed that performance. Good quality video, thanks :) I just got Ghost yesterday so have to listen to it this weekend.

I somehow managed to get a ticket to the sold out DVD recording of them playing "Deconstruction" in London.

They're doing all four DTP albums in their entirety and releasing it on DVD.  I think as far as fan service goes, Devin's way up there.  He's always giving stuff away for free as well.

Nice one! That should be interesting. I'm just glad I saw whole Ziltoid album live and rarely bands do whole one album live - or if they do it's definitely not here :P
Gonna see Weird Al on T.V. next weekend...weeee!

Oh, never seen Saxon live and they're coming to Finland in December. Probably should go but hard to buy a ticket yet since I don't know if I need one or two.

And then there's Dream Theater on January where my dad and uncle probably go to.

I thought anyone who'd ever been to a metal festival ever would have seen Saxon!  There was a year or two where they were literally unavoidable.  I've seen them twice - good enough, but it's not really my thing.

I found out recently that my dad directed one of their music videos back in the 80s, which made me laugh.  He wasn't too fond of them either.
