Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.

Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:

- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)

- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)

- New Album (October 2012)

- Dani Filth's Poetry Book

- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)

Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

I hope there are more tracks similar to that, that would be cool.

I hope the next album sounds like the song Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned).

No. Simply no. That is by far the worst track on DDVA, and one of the worst tracks Cradle has ever written.

Please explain why?

Dani's vocals, the guitar work, and the lyrics. Dani's vocals are just terrible. The guitar work is good, but it doesn't belong in Cradle. And the lyrics are awful. What happened to Dani's amazing lyrics in the 90's? The female vocals are alright in the song, that gives it some points. But, that's about it.

Oh and -1 point for Dani's incredibly stupid smile at the end of the music video. It's almost like they're poking fun at themselves. Dani would have never done that in the 90's.

sorry but I have to agree with adreamofwolves, FF is my least favorite track of DDVA and true about Dan back in the 90's would never included something like this on the cradle catalogue (I've been a cradle fan since the 90's so I know that's true knowing and following the band since then).

It is a taste matter, I guess... I like "Forgive me Father", especially the guitars.

They're not the same band as they were in 90's, it's normal they have evolved and allowed their music to be more eclectic, which is great. It'd be boring to record the same album all over again. And I love FMF ;)

FMF a shocker, there are far better songs on DDVA ... but FMF was written on purpose to piss people off (the old skool fans in general) and it worked. Plus it gave the media something to scratch their pointed little heads over!

Not a bad song, progressive as Faustus said ... it's OK and served its purpose! I guess ??? :P

FYI, I was being sarcastic. And people took it seriously, job well done :)!

There's no evidence for that, is there?

The guitar work doesn't belong? Atleast its different than the tremolo picking they do in most of their songs. It almost sounds like they were going for an 80's metal sound almost like Iron Maiden minus their amazing melodies.

I must agree with you on that...
