Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.
Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:
- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)
- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)
- New Album (October 2012)
- Dani Filth's Poetry Book
- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)
Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

But it was on a video interview not so long ago, this year I think? Check the interview thread, I should be there?

Maybe if people like you would stop complaining about them going back to their roots, they wouldn't have to try and end up failing to your "standard". Would a carbon-copy make all you fans happy?
Cradle are musicians and I don't think they want to be playing the same thing over and over. They just need to continuously improve and build upon what they've laid out so far. Hopefully this new album will be interesting.

Thornography was a solid album, not nearly as good as their earlier stuff, but still much better than Godspeed and DDVA.
Euronymous said:Not as bad as Thornography.
ADreamOfWolves said:Anyway, no Allender does not "sux". Paul is a very talented musician and I have a lot of respect for everything he has done for Cradle. But, the last two albums (Godspeed and DDVA) have been their worst by far, and Paul was the major writing force behind those two albums. So, I think if this next album is mediocre like their last two, that it's time for Paul to leave and get some fresh blood in the band.

Permalink Reply by Kevin Hall on July 14, 2012 at 4:11 Maybe? Anyway Paul was quite adamant that he wrote all the guitar parts for Dusk when the interviewer asked him about the others writing too.
Old 2007 interview ... not the one I mean, but ...
Paul - "When I was still in the band we wrote ‘Dusk and Her Embrace’ and ‘Dusk…’ was actually, er, shall we say the ‘Vempire’ stuff was actually part of the ‘Dusk…’ album. So ‘Dusk…’ was a pretty hefty album. But after we left, what they had to do to get out of a contract, was to move…basically they took a few songs off of it, released it as ‘Vempire’, or ‘Fifth Empire’, whatever you want to call it, and then that was that released and then they signed to Music For Nations."
Metal Discovery - "Do you regret not playing on those releases…the stuff you’d written, was it hard to see other people playing that, releasing that and getting successful out of that?"
Paul - "Not at all because it was the same stuff that I’d written. You see, the thing is with me, I don’t….believe it or not, I just like to sit behind the scenes and work. ... "

Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on July 14, 2012 at 6:17 Stop fucking saying that all I care about is them going back to their roots. I have said numerous times that I love their work from Cruelty to Thornography. So, no, not only their old shit. I would be perfectly happy with an album like Nymph or Thorno. Do you understand this? Because you apparently don't, since I've said it so many times.

Where did Paul confirm that he wrote dusk?

Then he must have wrote it with the Ryan brothers as well. Because the Ryan brothers were still with the band in 1995, and that was when the original Dusk was suppose to be released. I don't know. Where did Paul confirm that he wrote dusk?
