Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.
Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:
- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)
- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)
- New Album (October 2012)
- Dani Filth's Poetry Book
- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)
Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

lol "poppy"? I wouldn't go as far as to call Cradle poppy in any way. Catchy, yes, but no bubble gum pop anywhere.....

"Ok so here's a few words about the [new] Cradle album. It's not like the last 2. It's dark, doomy, punky and aggressive. Martin's done the keys, so all the orchestration is different. Think Entombed, Candlemass, old Cradle.
One thing the journo's said about the last one is that they are too similar...they won't say that this time.
With the drums, I'm keeping it as real and honest as poss .. comping anything from all the takes thats got something great about it...no quantizing. Good job he's playing like a demon..." May 2012 Scott Aitkins

Well, I'm interested! I hope it's good. I wasn't too into Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa personally (though I did like Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder) and am hoping for a stronger album this time around - something more dynamic, perhaps. A mixture of Entombed, Candlemass and old Cradle definitely sounds like it will fucking slay! Entombed and Candlemass own, and old Cradle does too of course. It will be a fantastic combination of sounds if done right!

About the neverending topic of COF's last two albums : GODT was a solid effort. DDVA had some issues, especially the production/mix and the overall sound. Still some good songs can be found on both of them. Now if the yet untitled album will sound like Emtombed and Candelmass, well let's wait and see.

I don't know why people believe what Cradle say the next album will sound like since it never does. Wasn't DDVA meant to sound like Iron Maiden on crack in a graveyard (whatever the fuck that means)?

Well the album surely sounded nothing like Iron Maiden, except for maybe "Forgive Me Father" somewhat. Not even close though....
Probably just to hype the album up.
Why can't they make an album without comparing it to anything? That's what I want to hear. Just them saying "This album is going to be phenominal" or something like that, rather than saying"Yeah it sounds like Dusk mixed with Midian, maybe alittle bit of Nymphetamine, oh and to round it off there is a pinch of Godspeed."
From the looks of Dani's recent blog, he seems to realize this.lol
