Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.

Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:

- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)

- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)

- New Album (October 2012)

- Dani Filth's Poetry Book

- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)

Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

Yeah except I don't know if their are any vampire concepts in the new album... Naked women though any way though haha.

No self-titled with cover art. It would be funny if they used the band picture as cover art.lol

What I'm hoping we get in this new album, is the really deep clean voice Dani did back in the old days. It goes well with Dani's high pitch screams. It's nice, because then the entire song just isn't high pitch screams. This is the best use of the deep clean voice..

Yeah, he could, it's mostly studio effects/volume boosting. He obviously doesn't want to do it, for whatever reason.

What kind of lyrical themes have you touched upon?

"I think the whole thing is essentially about monsters, be they personal, spiritual, archetypal, or horror based. There are a lot of Lovecraftian elements and some songs return to that gothic, vampiric territory..."

Off the top of my head the last time they really used the pitch-shifted vocals (prominantly) was on "Bitter Suites..." along with a whole host of vocal effects and over-dubbing/dual vocals whereas the main bulk of vocals since "Damnation..." have been "dry", presumably to sound more like his live voice. The line between studio and live has become very blurred, which makes sense I guess.

After over a decade of being in a band you probably want people to hear "YOU" more, not to "hide" behind effects and so on. Unfortunately most of us would agree that some of those effects really added to the atmosphere of the songs and are sorely missed! :(

IMO it also doesn't help that since that album (DAAD) they've been using these damn "guitar fanbois" in the studio who always seem to want to make the album sound more "raw" and "live" yet usually overdub the guitars 700 times and have them be prominant in the mix, yet cut down on the vocal theatrics and bury the keyboards and bass into non-existance, save a few breaks here and there... ugh.... but whatever... this seems to be what the band want too. Makes it sound "punky" and "thrashy" and "darker" and "faster" etc, lol!
