Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.
Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:
- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)
- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)
- New Album (October 2012)
- Dani Filth's Poetry Book
- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)
Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

Why would they make a separate web page for an album?
Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on July 27, 2012 at 21:23 That sounds about right. It's usually Mid-August when the single is released. I remember two years ago, "Lilith Immaculate" came out the same day "Gateways" was released by Dimmu Borgir. So, I'm sure we will hear the single in 2-3 weeks.

After. We usually get one full song, then samples from all the others. Unless, of course, these samples ‘leak’ on other sites like Soundcloud.
ADreamOfWolves said:The first single, as usual, will come out in August I'm sure. Usually we also get 30 second samples from each song off the new album. But, I don't remember if that comes before the first single or after.
Kafir! said:So who thinks there will be any info this week or next week? I mean it's been almost a month since Dani last updated us.
I wonder if they will give us a preview of a song too like he said?
The anticipation is building, I am excited.
Permalink Reply by Lifestalker on July 28, 2012 at 0:54 I wonder how the single will sound. Heavy and fast like "Lilith Immaculate" or like "Nymphetamine" or "Forgive Me Father"? I am thinking the latter.

Permalink Reply by The Smell Of Rain on July 28, 2012 at 0:58 Peaceville bands do mini-sites for their new releases as standard now, lots of other record labels/bands are doing that sort of thing too. Makes sense to me to put all the info for a new release in one place. (Of course you'd think that'd be what a BAND WEBSITE would be for!) they always seem to promise more content than they put up on these mini-sites though...

Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on July 28, 2012 at 2:26 Let's hope it doesn't sound like either, and it's something fresh and new. I wouldn't say I'm excited for the new album, as before I was excited for Godspeed and DDVA, but then let down big time. But, the fact that this album will not be a concept record, Martin is handling keyboards/synths and not Mark Newby-Robson, and Dani saying that his best vocals possible are on this album. All those facts do make me interested to hear what this new album will sound like.

Permalink Reply by Lifestalker on July 28, 2012 at 5:00 lol Well let's not consider them facts....because like you said, you've been let down before.
Hopefully they just did whatever the hell they wanted to do with this record and not just try to impress us fans.
I mean now that you have social media, I'm sure they are more aware of what fans want, but still. Way back when they were on their second album, Idk if they had fans complaining about their album or not. So they had the freedom to do whatever they wanted. So hopefully they did so with this record.

Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on July 28, 2012 at 7:15 There's no way that Dani's vocals in TOTBM will be similar to the vocals on this new record. There is a contract or something starting that Dani's vocals on TOTBM HAVE to be different than his vocals on Cradle, or something like that. I don't know, Kevin can explain it better.

Permalink Reply by Managorth Anora on July 28, 2012 at 7:57 They sound the same though, and I highly doubt this new album will have his vocals at their best.
Permalink Reply by ADreamOfWolves on July 28, 2012 at 8:15 "What led you to use two different studios?
It was convenient, as much as anything. The band used Grindstone Studio, halfway up to Norwich, and I had the local one, Springvale, for vocals. My one was fairly isolated and that allowed me to truly focus this time, to make sure my vocals were the best they could possibly be. It felt like a world apart from everywhere else. The only problem was on the first day, when the local farmer decided to dig up 200 pounds of earth outside the studio and then use it to prop up a barn. Apparently it hadn't been touched for 50 years before that, and they picked my first day in..."
