Carried on from the other thread (Link to Part 1 of this Topic) which has apparently become buggy.

Like the last one, discuss any upcoming Cradle-related stuff:

- Evermore Darkly EP/Live DVD (October 17th/24th, 2011)

- Midnight In The Labyrinth (April 2012)

- New Album (October 2012)

- Dani Filth's Poetry Book

- Side projects (Temple Of The Black Moon etc.)

Evermore Darkly is obviously the priority at the moment.

Sorry Beto, but you are JUST saying that because in your country you are unable to get special edition albums. And that is just a tad hypocritical...

A) album release not on time
B) people crying about A)
C) the coming of an ubber ultra special edition at a high cost with about 3 demo version songs of the same album with 1 or 2 covers.

If that were the case, then every business is milking their customers. It's a dumb argument.

Especially dying business, like music industry. Besides, no one forces you to buy this edition.

Haha right? It's just how things work, whether you like it or not. There is no conspiracy as some people like to make out of it...

I am a business major, so I kind of have an insight on how things work.

Now that does not mean that scams do not exist.

What I'm saying is why can't it be like the times of TpoEMF when everything came in one cd? And you are dead wrong I have access to special editions or tell me: do you have thornography 2 album covers and band signed special edition as it was sold for a limited time?
Or her ghost in the fog single special edition?
What I'm saying is record companies have the majority of the profits a lot more than the band. First connecting the brain with the typing fingers is a good idea before throwing an offense or an ignorant reply don't you think?

I can see where he's coming from, it'd be nice if bands these days would just have a regular edition, and then ONE special edition, with all the goodies on it, and that's it. Now it seems like there 6 different editions for one album. And a perfectionist like me, I need the CD that has the most goodies on it, so having 6 different editions for one album is really annoying for me.

I realized what you meant as soon as I saw "Peaceville". I tend to agree and remember the record companies make these decisions and other than having them endorsed by the band it is pretty much up to the producers (if that's the right word).
Like with E.D. and DDVA I decided to wait knowing there is usually an edition with a Tee Shirt or at least a "Special Edition" with extra tracks. I'll probably do the same with the new one and wait.
Fan Edition aside there were two Digipac versions (a "book" and a Tri-fold with Tee), a black Jap version and a single for FMF as well as the release itself.
I don't mind the option of a Tee with the CD release as it gives you a chance to get the tee a lot cheaper as it WILL be released later at a much higher cost anyway. Even the Never to be Sold Strictly Limited to Fans Only "3 Heads" TEE is NOW on sale!

So, of course I am going to ASSUME nothings changed and wait ... again.

For the band to make any money these days the Record Companies have to make a huge amount to pass on the pittance! But I'm not saying anything we don't already know ...

exactly! The meaning of special is a lost meaning, special edition is for an album at least every 5 to 10 years not every year! And believe me I'm glad to spend my money directly to the band because their artistic hard work and their heavy sweating on a stage BUT on the special editions who wins more? The record company executives or the band?

Agree!

And usually the ONE Spec Ed usually has the OPTION of a Tee or not anyway so I'd be a happy little Vegemite!

Yes in deed, and I would love to death TODAY a dusk, cruelty, vempire or principle 20th aniversary special edition with unreleased material from that time than the one to come from the next album, just like Pantera's vulgar display of power.
