Does anyone else think Dani doesn't put too much emotion in his vocals anymore?

Whenever I hear newer CoF albums, it sounds like the same vocal-wise in every song, which is: A semi-long opening scream, regular ultra heavily layered verse vocals, less layered interlude vocals. Would it be too much if Dani really just put some emotion in it, like a heavy growl, or maybe some shouted cleans like in The Rape and Ruin of Angels, or at least put some more effort into his screams like before the 3rd verse of The Persecution Song. Awhile back I thought Dani was a fantastic vocalist, and he's still very uniqe, but now I think he just sounds like he doesn't care about the vocals these days. I'm just voicing my oppinion, wondering if anyone else thinks the same.

Even if you don't think so, go ahead and post your thoughts. The forums have been pretty stale lately, so it would be nice to see some discussion.

yes, i understand the concept of "toe each their own," in fact, i commend it, i'm not trying to say "if you don't think like me, you're an idiot!" i'm only expressing my views and further trying to understand reasoning

Dreads are gross. They smell, you can't really take care f your hair properly...well, you can if you keep with the hair treatments, but they make you look dirty. It's like a mass hairball that crawled out of a sewage drain. End of story. I just think dreads are tacky in my opinion.

gross, yes, tacky, yes, though that's not what i got out of it when i saw Dani's dreads, strangely, i believe he made them work to his advantage in a very clean, dark look.

but like John from Korn and such of the sort, dreads are a statement as is a t-shirt you may wear with a band on it. where the t-shirt displays your musical preference, the dreads display a lack of care for cleanliness, and therefor, (to ME), a kind of "fuck you" to society and the social norms.

sure most of you will probably say, "that's stupid," or have some snide comment about teenage angst, immaturity, dreads belonging on gross cave-people who can never grow up, but there's my opinion for what it's worth
