Do you think Cradle should go death metal with their next album?

Just a thought that occured to me really. As we know, Dani's screams aren't going to last forever and they're beginning to take their toll on him right now. Although, Dani still has really good deep growls perfect for death metal. If the band went back to writing their own music for their own instrument instead of leaving it all to one person, the band could definitely experiment much more with the genre. It's not as if they don't like death metal - Dani's a fan of bands like Carcass and Obituary and the band probably have the potential to create a death metal album. The only problem I think it would have is that Dani's lyrics don't fit the death metal genre. What do you guys think? :).

Leave Dani and his voice alone :P *or read the old posts*

Embrace the past and accept the present.

A legendary band that has lasted as long as COF has, will not remain static.
I love all of Dani's vocals and why do some people want him to regress to the past instead of accepting/loving what he is offering to us now?
Not even you are the same as you were 10 years ago,.....so how can you expect something such as a voice and music (directly a result of emotion of the artist) to be the same?...
We all should be evolving with age~
I'm in a wierd mood and not feeling well.....
So, sorry if I came off bitchy ^ I was just being blunt with my emotions~
i agree with DARK DREAMER. Dani is a badass and we adapted to his voice so if we heard blck metal it sound like hell.
psh.. that dark dreamer girl is sure one hell of a bitch

lmao jk
i read your second post

actaully i agree with gary
i saw some of the vids from their concert last night
and his high pitch screams are ugly
no offense
but like you said
his deep growls are pretty good
i wouldnt mind a death metal album
just as long
its not boring
like some death metal bands
I don't think that they should dramatically change their style just because Dani's vocals aren't what they used to be. Their music has influences from lots of sub-genres including death metal, and each album has a different feel or style of its own. I do think CoF should experiment a bit more though. As good as Godspeed was, it didn't really bring anything new to the table.

I disagree that Dani's lyrics don't fit death metal. Death metal bands have all sorts of lyrical themes, not just the obvious gore-filled lyrics that some are reknowned for. Septic Flesh, for example, are a death metal band, but their lyrics are about ancient mythology, the occult and philosophy. In my opinion, though, I don't think CoF should revert to pure death metal. Though I would like to see a bit more experimentation on the next album.
ahem....
you don't think GODSPEED was experimenting of sorts...it proves to me that they are ever so talented in that they don't stick to one style.....like some BORING death metal bands! blah blah blah growl growl growl

COF has so much variety to offer....a cornucopia of selections for us now!...an inexhuastible collection of songs to cover a vast array of moods in which you might feel ;)
