I am a self-proclaimed goth. I personally have interest in Death, Murder any similar to that effect. Yes, I've been interest in goth fashion since I was 13. Later on, I actually adventured further into the subculture. I've gotten into the music like The Cure, Sousixe and the Banshees, Specimen, Switchblade Symphony and Sisters of Mercy, etc.
So yeah...Half time I usually don't consider myself as goth. I usually just see myself as a person with a dark mind, honestly.

all those people who continue to say that stereotypes are useless obviously dont live in the real world. stereotypes,sadly, are the foundation of mankind itself! this does create problems however, hence war, hatred, and general idiocy, but without them people wouldn't understand everyone else around them.

Well, there is a stupid Russian joke: an emo is a goth that hadn't been allowed to come to the cemetery. In any case, I cannot consider myself to be a 100% goth coz that's a christian-like culture having its philosophy and Weltanschauung :) (sorry, cannot find a proper English word) from Christianity (I do not want to offend anybody, but that's true), and I am a Slavic pagan being an adept of the cult of Perun. So my faith (NOT RELIGION) is the only thing not allowing me to be a 100% pure Goth.

It seems to me that being a goth is a kind of a state of the mind rather than a social or other status... This has nothing to do with music, etc... and I feel strong respect and sympathy to goths, but I cannot unfortunately consider myself to be one: Russian pagans can not become European goths.

Yes I like goth I'm one myself, My mom and sister I use to hate it when i went to school if a teacher wore all blace they would say "I guess this makes me goth too right!" My mom believes goths are a way of life almost our own community" the street we live on calls us "Vampire" and I love it when we can litterally stop traffic we've had people almost run red light becouse of our style of dressing

well yeah because i am one..if u get to know us you may understand were nicer..some people think were nausty but were not were kind and gental people we are like a big family always stick up for people like us.
