Which band do you listen to and like that is the most different from Cradle of Filth?

I think on my end, it's got to be Eiffel 65. Lady Sovereign doesn't count, she's British.

I'm a musician, so I like all kinds of different music; so long as its good. Like I always say, "I like what I like" E.G. Metal, Raggae, Punk (the REAL shit, not the girly Blink 182/ Sum 41 bullshit), Country (the WAYYYY older stuff, like outlaw country where they sing about breaking the law, drinking, and so forth!), Etc.
I listen to a lot of underground hip-hop, UK especially. There are some very talented people in the sub-mainstream hip-hop scene who just don't get the recognition they deserve because of ridiculous people like 50 Cent and Soulja Boy taking the spotlight, rapping incomprehensibly about virtually nothing. I advise anyone looking to broaden their horizons to listen to rap artists like Jedi Mind Tricks (USA) and Foreign Beggars (UK) because they truly do have talent, not only in their lyrics but also in the musical field (some Jedi Mind Tricks songs remind me of Children of Bodom!) To disregard rap as a whole is unfortunate, because there's a lot of great stuff hanging around, but I don't blame anyone for being discouraged by the rap that you generally hear - it's pants! That being said, a lot of Eminem's older stuff is actually very good too with the right mindset.

Aside from that, I also listen to some of the older American indie and ska bands like Neutral Milk Hotel and Streetlight Manifesto and Sublime which are fantastic lyrically and musically, albeit in a very different way than bands like Cradle of Filth.
A bit of Tupac.
"You down with Biggie? F u!
F u & your Motherf*cking mother!"
Serious issues. It helps me come up with some pretty angry writing.
Moloko, Tricky, my sister makes me listen to Aretha Franklin.

The grime scene in England is amazing. I'm also really liking Styles of Beyond right now.

can't agree... i prefer the old stuff from 50, though... 'cause now he sounds like some r'n'b shit... such songs as "Many Men (Wish Death)", "Gotta make it to Heaven", "Hustler's Ambition" or the street legend "Power Of The Dollar" as instances (just look through the lyrics... and don't forget he sings about gangsta shit, so look through it's prizma) are great songs... and don't forget he wasn't born popular... no need to envy or whatever it is... eventually, as one wise musician and lyricist said (whose band isn't popular, btw): "popularity isn't linked with the lack of quality automatically..."
I guess it's Yanni Hrysomallis.. :) has anyone here heard of him? he's great... :)
Propably Björk. I have a big variety of artist from many music styles on my collection, Eminem, Run DMC, some pop collections and such.
(Neo-)Classical music like Autumn Tears ^^
And some hip-hop ^^
The Police, The bee-gees, Micheal Jackson, Dre, Pink,
Blur, Pulp, Eminem, 90's euphoric trance music, Classical music.

Lady Sovereign lol, haven't heard any of her stuff on radio for ages.
