Yeah I wish I could get the first few albums, I think those are their best.

Fair enough.

I mean, you're wrong.  But fair enough.

I think some people have already received their copy of one of the new DVDs - here are some clips from it:

All from the same gig (Paris I think).  The semi-pro recording actually isn't too bad (assuming the actual quality on DVD is better than that compressed one), and I think some of the American dates were fully-pro recorded.  It looks pretty good.

According to Kaoru, posted on fb

They are in pre-production and writing new songs!

Yeah I saw.  Don't really know what to make of that.  Obviously Kyo's illness has forced them to stop for a while, but I don't think Dum Spiro Spero got the attention it deserves yet.  It took about a year and a half for Uroboros to finally come full circle, and DSS has only had about 4 months of touring.

Not that I can really complain about new Dir en grey material on the horizon!

I wonder if Kyo will be able to do what he's done vocally as he has recently, considering that he had surgery...

If not oh well...

No idea.  I'm sure he could do it in studio still but possibly not live.  The setlists for the USA tour were ridiculously heavy on the voice.

I think they'll find an interesting way to adapt to any circumstances though.

So I found a clip for the song Ain't Afraid to Die from the DVD of the entire song. Someone posted it on youtube, it sounds pretty high quality,

Most of the DVD is on YouTube.  It's unlisted, but lucky you, I have the links.  I think there might be another 10 minutes or so coming up, though:

It's mostly pretty good - nice to see clips from two shows I was at, and it's great to finally have footage of the Zombie show in Japan (even if they did use a silly video filter for the Different Sense performance).

The negative is that it's been edited by a monkey again (all of Dir's documentary DVDs are like this, with just 0.5 second clips of nothing popping up every now and then), and the English voice over, while useful, sounds like the narrator from one of those lame TV shows on late night cable about ghost encounters or whatever.  Also it makes no sense that they went to the trouble of getting an English narrator, but not subtitling any of the Japanese when the band speak.

Can't complain, though, it's really good stuff.

Wow Dradle, you are great.

Unlisted on youtube.lol

Yeah I have to say I feel bad for them because of their Wacken performance, but hopefully the people were blown away either way.

I really hope whatever they do next, they get stuff right and get the recognition they deserve

I myself have to say, seeing them live was amazing. The way they performed and how accurate or above accurate they played their music just blew me away. Still the best concert I've been too.
